is the job market really that good now?

recently, the turnover rate in my company globally is rather high...actually not exactly recently...but i think it started this year...guess the market is really picking up and there's many job opportunites out there...

early this year..a colleague who only joined us for less than 6 months moved on to Barclays..and there are news that she's earning 8K a month for some graduate program..i mean seriously, i find it unbelieveable..8K a month for a rather fresh graduate? and she's not the smart kind..she thinks that SQ aeroplanes fly faster and that sugarcane is soaked in sugar syrup to make it sweet...so duhz right? so i asked my uncle who's been in the financial industry for 15 years..he said no way would Barclays pay their fresh graudate 8K a month! and my the other uncle who just got a PHD said :" ya...8K per quarter.." hahahaha...

and from the same team as the bimbo, the guy from Hong Kong office quit..and then some other guy found another job in some private equity firm..and the people from the sales team are moving out like ants...everyone is moving to greener pastures..even if people are not moving out of the company..they are moving within the company...lately..my dearest team-mate is moving to another team...and so we're going to have a new team-mate and someone from another team might move to my team...sooo many movements...

and just yesterday...the london colleague who went to princeton with me a month ago..has just quitted! i'm sooooo going to miss him...he's been such great fun to have...anyhow kinda shocking but yet i'm happy for him...and the moment my team heard that..they went.." see hannah, you tramatized him in princeton!! " hahahaha! basically he found another job in some private equity firm..mmm...maybe i should try my luck too? hahahaha but i dont know what private equity does....hahahaha..i'm kinda stupid right? anyhow, it seems like Europeans are more aggressive in their career movements...there are ALWAYS changes in that office...

now i really wonder..is it time for me to move as well? acutually i'm still happy at what im doing..although my job can be quite sucky..but i can still feel challenged and everyday i'm learning new things and new markets...and i love my people here..but seriously i have no idea..i did ask my uncle if i should also start applying for other jobs since the market seems to be really good and he said i could but it would be better to stay till the end of the year...and besdies my current company is not that bad...sighz, i dont even know what i want to do..all i know is i want to have lots of money!

never mind...am going to USA tomorrow (yay!)...*laughs* shall enjoy the holiday...get broke and then i'll be back in reality and i'll sit down and think about my future..if there's any to start with...

singaporeans are pretty rude!

over the weekend, i've met with 2 rude ladies...sooo irritating!!!

on saturday, i went to Jumbo Serangoon Gardens for dinner with my family for my cousin's birthday...and so i drove there.... and basically, i missed my turn to turn into the carpark of the restaurant as i wasnt very sure..thus, i wanted to sort of turn into a public carpark and come out of it...but there was this car that stopped right at the entrance of the carpark...

so basically, this stupid car stopped right at the entrance..and i wanted to turn into the carpark but i couldnt..and because the road is damn small, i'm sort of obstructing the traffic..and so i horned at the car to move in...but there was no response..and so i thought the car was empty...and then this girl came out of the driver's seat and then went back in...and so i thought she was going to drive the car away from the entrance..but she didnt..and so i horned at her again to tell her to move in..but still the car remained stationary..and so i horned again..and mind you, my horns are not the loud and long kind..i was nice to enough to give her short horns...and then my uncle wanted to get out and told her to move in but my auntie forbade him to do so for fear that the girl might be a road bully (hahahaha!)...and so i horned again, hoping that she would move into the carpark...suddenly, this auntie came out from the passsenger's seat and shouted at us :" we're also waiting for a lot! cant you see the carpark is full? cannot see when you drive past meh? horn for what? "

well..my reaction was to just drive away my car...i guess we were all very shocked that this auntie came out and shouted at us with broken english..as my family took about 2 minutes before started commenting how rude she was..hahaha! i mean basically, how would i know she's waiting for a lot? and also, the driver should have told me the first time she came out of the car...and then the auntie need not shout at us..she could have just told us the reason why she's not moving her car...HOWEVER, i think she shouldnt have parked her car at the entrance in the first place....this is sooo inconsiderate!! i mean if i were her..i would have moved in..and if i see other cars coming in..all i would do is move out of the carpark and go in again...basically, this carpark only has 1 lane and so you cars are not allow to wait inside if others need to get out...and thus, i think this is why the auntie thinks that she's right by parking the car RIGHT at the entrance!! i mean come on..be more considerate and use your brains..am sure singaporean drivers are not that horrible...sometimes, i really hate women drivers...they always dont think out of the box when driving! argh! wait, i'm a woman driver too..haha but seriously, i dont think i'm at fault..but i do regret not rebutting her at that moment..but then again, what can i say? "eat shit and die?!" hahahahaha!

then on sunday morning, i recieved a call from KrisFlyer...basically the reason why they called me is i rang them up with regards to my profile and also retrospective mileage claims...previuosly, my tickers for NY was not shown in my records when i logged in and so i called them up to find out and they told me it's because my account and my air tickets do not have the same name..and they have said they will changed my account and that i could redeem my miles retrospectively..and so i did...however, i noticed that my profile was not changed and one of my redemption was not approved..so i called again to find out why..and because all the operaters are busy...they have said to call me back on friday..but they didnt...so already they have broken their promise...

so basically that lady ask to verify myself by asking some questions...and then when she finally verified..she said.." so you're are normal member, how can i help you? " duhz, what does she mean by i'm a normal member? i'm afterall a customer right? this is soooo degrading...so does she mean my feedback and whatever is not valuable at all? she is such a bitch!! anyway so i told her the problem and she kept telling me to fax in my passport details and submit the retrospective forms to her when i'm trying to tell her this was not what the previous customer service officer told me..but before i could finish my sentence, she went.." i know miss wang, but we......" argh..i was soooo pissed i told her.." CAN YOU LET ME FINISH FIRST? " and finally she stopped cutting me off..and when i'm done..she repeated the same line to me again...stupid woman..then i said.." but this is not what you guys have told me earlier.." and all she can say was.." i know miss wang, please fax in your passport detials and the retrospective forms and we will process it for you"... and so i decided to stop talking to her and told her "okay, i'll do it" and i could feel her eyes roll and giving me the you-should-have-said-so-earlier vibes via the phone...so irritating!!!!

well...as a matter of fact...i'm NOT going to do it...i'm going to call Krisflyer again..ask for the name of that bitch...get the name of the manager..and write in to complain about this bitch..seriously, they are giving me mixed instructions and caused me soo much trouble just to get them to call me and all the rubbish..also it wasnt my fault that my profile was being set up wrongly..it was not me who sent in the details..but it was AMEX...stupid!! and then they were being so rude to me during the call..so what if i'm a normal member and not some big-shot frequent flyer? i may have the potential okay? anyhow, i'm so going to make a BIG fuss out of this...and as for that bitch, she better start praying that her job is safe..hahahahaha! actually i dont think they will sack her but i hope they reduce her bonus and blah blah blah...soooooooooo pissed!!!

i am suffering from delayed jet lag!

it's been almost 2 weeks since im back from USA...and guess what? i miss USA!! *sighz* it's nice being back home and all..but seriously, the short working hours, the good free food and beer, nice mustang, nice hotel..it's HEAVEN...back to reality is really hard...really really hard...when i first arrive home, i couldnt feel the jet lag at all..but as the days go by....i'm getting more tired and passed out by 1130pm EVERY NIGHT! haha! guess i'm really suffering from delayed jet lag....

anyhow, it was quite cool to arrive and then looking out for someone with your name waiting for you at the arrival hall..as if i was some big shots..hahaha! anyhow, my driver is a young eygptian..and he was telling me that he has a degree and is trying to find some jobs but has no luck..and that he just broke up with his girlfriend as his girlfriend thinks that he's wasting time..hahaha! basically, he was telling me his life story..and inviting me to go Eygpt with him..*ewww* and then he asked me what will i be doing over the weekend (since i arrived on a friday evening)...and i said i would be shopping and hope to do some clubbing..and he said.." you like clubbing? me too! wanna club with me tomorrow? " oh my god, is he trying to pick me up? and to this..i answered.." eh, are we at the hotel already? " *laughs* anyway, here's my hotel:

A COOL BLACK FORD MUSTANG! *grins* everyone was soooo jealous of me and my car...seriously, i was kinda shocked when i went to collect this car..i didnt expect a ford mustang..in my mind, i thought they would give me a toyota or a nissan...but well, i guess..a cool car for a cool babe! haha! but i didnt really drive..because my partner, who's a male, wants to drive...and so i let him..since i'm not that comfortable driving on the other side of the road...anyhow, i'm a good co-pilot..i can read the map pretty well...we only got lost because my partner cannot read the map and i drove..or i told him to look out for ROUTE 1 and he's waiting for me to tell him exactly where is ROUTE 1...so duhz right? i mean i told him.." now, we're on I95, then you will have to look out for Route 1 North okay? " he said okay but when he drove past the Route 1 North sign and i told him.." dude, you just missed the exit " and he went " why didnt you tell me to turn left? " then when we were arguing..he would say.." hey, let's stop this. we're behaving like husband and wife " haha!

anyway, my office is in Princeton and basically to me, it's a small town built around the famous Princeton University..i did a quick tour around a small part of the university and oh my god, it's soooo beautiful..it makes me wanna go back to studying...



wanted to walk more but it was sooo damn cold and my colleague is kinda getting tired and just wanted to go for a drink...hahaha but anyhow, Princeton is reallly HUGE..and sadly, i didnt manage to find any Wentworth Miller lookalike or potential...hahaha! and like i've said, Princeton is basically a town that builds around the university and in this whole area..there's only ONE pub..can you believe it? and i visited this pub EVERY NIGHT with my colleagues for a drink or 2..hahaha! but anyhow, i ate good food every night..slurrrrp!

haha..just look at our kitchen..isnt it amazing? but well, to provide 3 meals a day for us..i guess they need to have something decent...anyhow, our office is located in such a secluded area, it will take about 30 minutes to drive out for lunch!! but seriously, the food is kinda standard and boring...i would prefer to go out and have a variety of food! haha!

anyway, i think i would prefer NY...just take a look at these pictures:

Times Square! was walking around alone at night with my shopping bags...was very cold but it was kinda romantic as it snowed a little...very very nice..i love this place....

Ground Zero..think i went too late..they have started building some things and there were construction..not the ground zero i wanted to see.but then again.it's been 6 years..hahaha

Chinatown - was not in my plan to visit but anyhow...i was there for lunch..

Donald Trump building..what a pity i didnt meet him if not i could mesmerized him and then my tai-tai dream will be fulfilled immediately..haha!

5th avenue!! shopping haven but too expensive..i wouldnt mind living on this avenue though..hahaha!

Rockfeller center...not sure why is it famous..but people are basically skating there...kinda cool right?

aaah...New York Stock Exchange...at Wall Street!

This is Central Park...actually cannot see anything also...went there too late because was caught up shopping at 5th Avenue...hahaha dont know why but i need to go to Central park although i know there's nothing there..and my colleague was baffled by my determination to see Central Park as well..hahaha! was supposed to go there early in the morning to catch the Easter parade but somehow, it didnt go through..*sighz*

i believe this is Brooklyn..i was on Manhatten side when i took these pictures...and these are the 2 bridges...i think it's Manhatten Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge.not sure what's soo famous..but i guess they link 2 sides together? hahahahaha...

i went up to the empire state building to look at the whole of new york...i was sooo cold that all the pictures taken were quite bad..i was sooo cold that every picturei took..i have to run inside the store to stop shivering..and so the pictures are kind horrible..hahahaha! but seriously, the view is amazing...but i had to queue for like 1.5 hours just to have a bird's eye view of 20 minutes? hahaha after which i had to run to the train station to catch the train back to NJ...

talking about that...one policeman was trying to pick me up...*ewwww* i was asking for directions at the train station..and he started to chat with me and so i thought he was being friendly..he asked if i was alone in new york and if i had friends here..and i told him i was sorta alone and no friends as i was here for business trip..and he said.." the reason why i ask is that i can bring you around NY if you want " hahaha! seriously..do i look that desperate? no doubt i told people i'm on a mission to find a man..but i am really not that desperate!!! *laughs* but i did spot some cute firemen! hahaha but they didnt try to pick me up...WHY????!!!!!

actually, i think i did quite a good job touring NY within a day..i visited most of the famous places..but i gues i would love to go there again..i havent visited any museums ( heard that with my office pass i can get in free!!), havent attended a musical, havent visited SOHO, Long Island, Statue of Liberty etc, havent clubbed and havent found my guy!! maybe i need to find a job in NY...yeah, i think that shall be my plan..haha!

my last day in NJ...

the time now is 721pm, 04/13/07...i'm in my Princeton office and i'm basically the only left here...am atually waiting for the car to pick me up at 8pm...everyone here leaves at 430pm...seriously, i need to work here...you start at 8am and you end at 430pm...how good is that? tell me please....

just had dinner ( yes, my office in Princeton served breakfast, lunch and dinner) with 2 of the greatest colleagues i've met...they are sooooooo funny and they kept saying i'm hysterial..anyhow, am waiting for my car to come and pick me up...and since no one's around..i shall go around taking pictures of the office..hopefully, no one catches me..hahahaha! must take pictures of the kitchen...

actually, i'm kinda feeling sad to leave but yet am glad to be back home...i mean it's great to spend a week here on company's expenses and all...eating good food, living in 5-start hotel ( my hotel bills are USD 1.7K), driving a Mustang, shopping at factory outlets, drinking....but somehow, i think it's too slow and relaxed for me...everyone's going home...i need to go partying...i need to go dancing...but there isnt a single club in New Jersey AT ALL...can you believe that? maybe i should start a club here...it will be popular...there's the Princeton University here..hahaha!

think when i'm back home...i will definitely be suffering from withdrawal syndrome...from good food, short working hours, good beer and my mustang...and although one of my mission is to pick up a guy from here..i think i've failed terribly...hahahaha! never mind, Las Vegas/San Francisco/San Jose...here i come! :)

Business Class on SQ is soooo good!

i'm still in NJ, Princeton..hee hee hee and my godddd it's sooooo cold...i thought it would be spring time and the temperature will be like 10 degrees celcius and above..and so i only brought so-called spring clothes..but on my god....it's sooooo cold and i actually shivered...but hey, it's really nice to be cold..and i can wear boots and dont look stupid..hahahaha!

anyway, i'm staying in Westin Princeton which is alright..not great but not horrible...but the service is quite sucky...and i rented a car and guess what? they gave me a MUSTANG!! hahahaha..i was soooo shocked when i saw that i was given a Mustang..all my other colleagues were literally begging me to let them drive my Mustang..but haha, i cant drive..it's sooo weird to drive on the other side of the road that i let my london collegue take over the wheel while i read the map and hey, i'm quite a good map reader..we only got lost once..when i drove and my colleague read the map...hahaha!

my office is soooo damn huge and sooo damn cool..breakfast and lunch is provided and do you know, there's ice-cream in the kitchen..i cannot believe it..i wish i could take picture but i think it's against the company's policy to take pictures..but believe me..it's sooooo amazing....but i find the food kinda boring...sandwiches and salads every day...hahaha!

and i went on a shopping spree...i spent almost USD 600..i cannot believe it myself....sighz...now i'm soooo broke and i'm still going to USA in May...so i wish someone could donate money to me ya? hee hee hee....let me list out what i bought so far:

i'm at the airport now....just checked in...a bit too early if you ask me...but it's stated that i have to be here 2 hours before the flight...so well..here i am..got to make this really short as i'm only limited to 15 mins..

basically, am very very excited now..taking my first business class (am sure i will become a business class frequent seater..hahaha)...on my first trip to the east coast of USA...my first meeting with my london andUSA colleagues..going to have my first driving experience on the left side...might even have my first encounter with the snow (hahaha..i damn suaku..never been to really cold countries....)

3 weekend movies in a row...

for the past 3 weekends..i've spent it with my family..it's not a bad thing to spend time with family but for 3 consecutive weekends..isnt that an alarm for me? hahaha..i need to get DATES!!! anyone out there interested to date me? hahahahaha....but anyhow, these 3 weekends, i spent it watching movies...

first week...i watched this:



it's a local production...not very interested but my parents are..it's basically a Jack Neo's movie starring Gurmit Singh and Fann Wong...actually am interested because the chinese newspaper and news have been reporting that Fann Wong has disregard her lady image and is behaving very crudely in the movie...however, i think the news has definitely exaggerated it...she's not crude AT ALL..the only vulgar word she used was sooooo mild....and her so-called crude actions are grabbing her brests (which is non-existent) and her groin...and in this movie, she appeared in a bikini and oh my god..she has NO boobs at all...soooooooo flat...hahaha! generally speaking, it's an okay-movie..the storyline is quite interesting and it basically talks about how civil servants work in singapore...DEFINITELY not worth the 9.5 bucks!

2nd week..i watched this:



this is a must-watch for my family...my family is a HUGE fan of Mr Bean...we used to have his series and we will watch and re-watch and everytime, we would burst out laughing..hahaha..although we all knew how lame the jokes were...anyhow, i think this movie is quite nice..i was expecting the same old tricks from his tv series..but hey, there were new ones...and i'm really impressed with Mr Bean's intelligence and all... he can used his facial expressions and everyone will know what he's trying to tell us..isnt that amazing? he doenst even have to speak..all he has to say is "BEAN"..and we all laughed!! what a genius...

3rd week, i watched this:

"Leonardo's lead, Donatello does machine...Raphael is cool but crude, Michaelangelo is a party dude!" one of my favorite heroes...my brother basically bugged me to bring him to the movies for this...and oh well, i myself wanted to watch as well..hahahaha..actually the movie does have a storyline...and it revovles mostly around Leo and Raph...i thought it would be more cool to include Donny and Mikey...also, there arent enough fighting scenes...and i was sooooo disappointed that they did not have the famous song...*sob * and i dont know why..they have to include the useless but lucky Zhang Ziyi..i CANNOT understand a SINGLE word she's trying to say...*puke* but anyhow, i enjoyed the movie...

actually quite expensive right? haha but oh well, am going to spend more next week..hahahaha!

next friday is Good Friday..and to me..it's the BEST Friday...hahaha! becauase i'm going on a business trip...and this time..i'm going to a country that is far enough for me to enjoy this:

actually...i have no idea what is this..hahaha but i'm going to Princeton, NJ and that's where my office is...tried searching for pictures online but all i could find was Princeton University...haha! which is a place i MUST visit..it's where my Wentworth Miller graduate from!! maybe, he's there for a alumni gathering...can you imagine seeing Wentworth Miller walking around Princeton??? OH MY GOD!!! just the thought of it is making me grin....

and because i'll be there during the Easter weekend...there's a Easter parade in New York on Sunday and I'm so going to be there...so excited!!!! and i'm going to tour New York..basically, my plan is to be at the parade..hope on a city tour bus...go down to lower Manhatten to see ground zero and statue of liberty...go up again to Rockfeller park...then to central park..i think this will take me one full day...then on saturday, i'm going to this factory outlet called Woodsbury..and i'm going to shop till i drop...hahahaha..so people, i need MONEY desperately... any donations? hahaha!

and in May..i'm going to these places:

San Jose State University

isnt it cool???? i'm sooooo excited....so far, my trips which i was thinking of and planning last year..is more or less happening....PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!

seriously, i think the business trip is God's gift to me...i did pray for a chance to go to Princeton...but wasn't pinning much hope..and then suddenly i was given that chance..and because i would only be there for a week..i wont have any weekend to tour and so i tried to ask for a flight that will arrive on Sat morning so i have at least Sun to tour...and initially, i wasnt able to get any tickets except for the Sat night and Sun morning flight which is sooo uncool...and so i prayed for a Fri night and Sat morning flight and guess what? the very next day, i was given a Fri morning, direct, business class flight..and because of this..i actually have a weekend to spend...yay!!!!!

so now, it's time to pray for more money...hahahahahahahaha!

i'm a man-eater

hee hee hee...today an extremely cute guy came into office..and sadly, he's not a new hire..but he's just a client who came into office for training...in fact, this guy has been coming in quite often for training because i've seen him previously and was sooooo mesmerized by him...

the last time that i saw him...i was getting out of my lift and he was getting in...the moment i saw him...i couldnt take my eyes off him...and my frontdesk lady has the same sentiments..both of us are simply crazy over this man..hahahaha! but seriously he's really really gorgeous...

today, he was here again..the moment he stepped in...the frontdesk lady messaged me IMMEDIATELY and i ran all the way to the pantry to take a look at this gorgeous man..and oh my god..he is sooooooooooooo farking gorgeous...i cannot take my eyes off him and it was as if i've just met Frank Lampard..hahaha! anyhow, i went to the pantry a few times just to catch glimpses of him and i talked to colleagues who walked past just to catch more glimpses of him...even my guy colleagues think that he's gorgeous..hahahaha!

and because the front desk lady knows his name..the 2 of us started googling and yahooing him! hahahaha! and we actually found him..apparently he's a french, who is doing his MBA in NTU now and is on 3 months internship with ANZ Bank...and he's a rugby player who can do 3 layers and was a event manager for Rip Curl..oh my god, isnt he the guy for me? hahahahaha!

Toilets...

last friday..i had a very bad encounter with the guys' toilet in my office...yes, you didnt read wrong.it's the GUYS' TOILET.. hahaha! this is what happened...

last friday evening, the ladies was undergoing some renovation work...which in my opinion, didnt change the toilets much..anyway, we're not allowed to use it and so we're only left with the handicapped toilet on the other side of the office...so being really urgent, i requested to just cross over to the other side using the guys' toilet and the renovation workers told me that it's fine...and so happily, i trotted in..admiring the urinals and cubicles (joking!)...suddenly, i saw a guy tidying his hair in front of the sink..hahaha! i must have shocked him as he looked really really shocked to see me sneaking past him..i apologized profusely and ran out of the toilet...hahaha! then not wanting to repeat the same procedure, i took the long walk back to my side of the office..but it was a wrong move....the guy whom i saw in the toilet was just there talking to the other colleagues about me..hahahaha! i apologized and explained that i was urgent and that the workers told me that it's clear..well, the guy was not offended but they all thought i was really funny to do that..hahaha! i guess it must be really weird to see the opposite sex walking past you in the toilet...

then, later during the evening...was staying back to clear some work..and got really urgent and need to pee...similiarly, was too lazy to walk the long way and thus decided to cut through the toilet...but on 2nd thoughts, i decided to use the guy's toilets instead..hahahaha..well, it's rather late in the evening and i would assume that there's no one there...so me and another colleague , a lady, went in..and lo and behold..it's soooooooooooooo smelly!!! i didnt know that guys can be sooooooo dirty..and their piss stink like nobody's businesss...seriously, what do you guys eat? the toilet is soooooooo smelly and dirty...no wonder another colleague of mine, a guy, has been complaining that the guys' toilet stinks... seriously, i thought the ladies will be dirtier with some girls who cannot aim properly and who disposed of their pads any-o-howly..but well, the guys are even worse...hahahaha! seriously, i think humans need to be toilet-trained...

am i suffering from rheumatism?

on tuesday, i could feel a sharp pain on my inner thighs..and nope, it's not caused by too much sexual activities...hahaha! it was like muscle cramps but it's even more painful...this has happend to me before..TWICE and both times, the doctors diagnosed it as a cramp on my muscle or vein...so on tuesday, i was really worried as if the same thing happened..i would be in so much pain that i would not be able to walk...thus, i tried to walk lesser on wednesday hoping that it would go away..but well, it got worse..the pain spread to my knee!!! luckily i was still able to walk but i could feel myself limping...and by wednesday night, it ws soooo painful that i was not able to sleep peacefully.... *sighz* and so i was praying for the pain to go away...seriously, at the point of time, i thought i'm dying..hahahahaha! well, i woke up and the pain is still here but i was still able to walk...and miraculously, by 10am, the pain disappeared TOTALLY!!!

now, this sets me thinking...what causes the pain to go away?? spiritually, i would say God and by faith, He made my pain go away.... physically, i would think the application of muscle cream might have helped and the fact that my dad drove me to work yesterday might be an additional factor as this meant that i dont have to walk and stand for 1 hour...hahaha so the conclusion is..i need to go to church and find a guy who can drives me to work...hahaha!

however, i have another theory..i think i'm having rheumatism....why? simply because when my leg started to feel the pain, it was raining damn heavily on tueday night...and when the pain got worse on wednesday night, it was raining heavily on thursday evening...RIGHT??? so am i really suffering from rheumatism? if yes, does it mean i'm really getting older??? *gasps* seriously, it's sooo unfair, men gets sexier as they aged but women gets unwanted as they aged... why is this so? what's the logic behind this evolution?? *shrugs*

Bali...

yes...this is the beach which i see for 4 consecutive days...it's not exactly clear and blue..but it's damn cool to live near the beach...anyway, have an amazing time in Bali...it was soooo fun that the moment i stepped onto the home bound plane..i'm planning for my next trip to Bali...haha!

basically, this was a trip planned between me and my lovely korean colleague...actually i think she's more like a friend now...haha! i arrived in Bali around 9 pm and she arrived in Bali around 11pm...it was sooo amazing to see her after a year..and indeed, she has become prettier..just like me..hahaha!



this is the room that we stayed in..it's pretty huge and it's located next to the resort pool...our hotel is called Kind Villa Bintang and it's located at Nusa Dua...however, my next trip, i'm so going to stay in Hard Rock Cafe as it's much more happening over there...but anyhow, it's a nice resort...





basically, on the first day...we just lazed by the pool till noon..then we had a day tour at Uluwatu..which is basically a very grand temple...with basically nothing but tons of monkeys...hahaha! i was with a korean tour group because my lovely korean friend joined a package...and guess what? the koreans think that i'm a very shy korean who doesnt speak much..hahaha! but the truth is..i cannot speak korean at all...and the locals also think that i'm korean...hahaha! i wonder if i really look like one or it's the season of koreans over at Bali now? *shrugs* but anyhow, i dont mind being recognize as a korean... *smilez*

we were not allowed to go in..but the devotees are allowed...

got to wear the purple cloth to cover my knees..as a form of respect..but the problem is..as i walked...my knees were still exposed..hahaha! so it's pointless and hot...

after the visit to this temple at some mountains...we proceed for a one hour massage session...it was very very relaxing...wanted very much to fell asleep..but hahaha, can be quite painful..so only manage to catch 20 winks instead of 40...but it a good session....after that, it was time for dinner...instead of following the tour group to some korean food...we proceed to one highly recommended restaurant by many: Kudeta..it was a very very posh place hidden in some ulu area and by the beach...funnily, every place is by the beach..hahaha! it's a very touristy place as once you stepped into that restaurant..there arent any local...the food was nice and the ambience was really cool...

went back early to rest as we planned to do water sports on the next day..but lo and behold...it was raining heavily....woke up at 8am and saw that it's raining....because of the good weather..we decided to laze in bed...and changed our plans from water sports to shopping...left the hotel around noon...went to shop in Kuta and Nusa Dua...shopping was not very shiok as the things are not that cheap..and the brands are mostly surfing brands which were quite pricey...but somehow, i stil managed to buy the following:

ooh..and that night we went clubbing at 2 of the more famous clubs in Bali..they are Club Paparazi and Club Double 6...the music is soooooooo good...but the crowd is kinda horrible...there are tons of ang-mohs..as expected..but none of them are cute..most of them were old and it's pretty obvious why the balinese girls were there at the club....but i must say the music was damnnnnnnn good...no pictures as both of us were too lazy to bring the camera...hahaha!

so we woke up early next morning and prayed for the sun...but well, it wasnt sunny neither was it rainy..so we still continue with our water sports...i did diving, flying fish, rocket boat and a turtle island tour...it was pretty cool..and i must say we were quite popular with the balinese guys...most of them asked us if we're going clubbing and if they could join us..hahahahaha i guess they must be quite desperate...

that night...we went clubbing again at Kuta...a club called M Bar Go..it was really really really really cool... and i believe it was near the Bali bombings..haha and i know whythey chose this place..it was really really happening and packed with foreigners...however,i like the music soooo much.. the hip hop is soooo nice and the house music...amazing...even better than MOS..hahaha! well, we accepted the invitations from 2 local guys we met at the sea sports shop..they came with their tiny scooters and we ride safely and slowly to Kuta..it was quite an experience...and along the way, i was chatting with my "date" and having cultural exchange...and i thought my friend and her "date" was doing the same...but apparently they are not....guess what? my friend's date kept asking her to sleep with him!! and i'm truly amazed by his command of english..the differnet ways of expressing interest in getting laid...hahaha..first, he used the words "have sex"...then he used.." come to my room "...then " it would be a different experience for me "...then it was.." come by my room... " and then " come to my room and i show you the style..maybe you will like it " hahahahahaha! i couldnt stop laughing when my friend told me...because seriously i really didnt know they were talking about such stuffs...for me, my "date" only asked once.." do you want to see my room? " and i went..." NO "....hahahaha..and then we went back to chatting about normal stuffs...hahahahahahaha.... i mean seriously, why would they think that we would go to bed with them?? they are sooo young, only 21 years old...tsk tsk..youngsters nowadays ah...getting more and more absurd..hahaha! and when we mentioned that we're singaporean and korean..we dont have to pay a single cent to get into the club...interesting right?

and on the way back...we saw 2 balinese girls wearing very little and touching up their make-up on their scooters...one old ang moh walked past...stopped and chatted a little with them...asking them where they are going...and suddenly, the 3 of them were good friends..going clubbing TOGETHER..oh my god, i really wonder, if those girls are prostitutes or are they just out to get laid and have fun??? hee hee hee...

on the last day, basically i just laze by the beach while my friend went off for her last day tour at ubud..couldnt join her as my flight was at 2pm...so i basically, lazed till like 12pm and made my way to the airport...as i took a shuttle bus to the airport..there were some middle eastern men with me..and they thought i was going to Japan..hahaha! i must have looked like a japanese to them...but this is NOT the most interesting incident on my way back....

on the flight..i was sitting beside 2 singaporeans..finally, i saw my fellow countrymen...but i was rather pissed as both of them took the whole compartment and i had to put my bag 2 compartment away..anyway, they "compensated" me by putting on a show for me..initially, they were all lovey-dovey..and i was getting a little irritated..and then suddenly, the tone became hostile and the girl ignored the guy..and they were not talking....then after the meal, they guy started a conversation..saying something like.." so how are we going to settle this? " and the girl didnt respond..and so he persisted..and finally the girl said.." you're always like that...when i tell you things, you just get pissed with me.. " and then the guy said.." it's because you always dont tell me the truth... " and then the girl said.." i did..but you said i didnt...and the way you questioned me is not the most polite way..." and so basically, the basis of their quarrel is this: the girl told the guy that she's avoiding her ex boyfriend at all cost but yet they went on a trip together with other colleague and the guy was upset that the girl only told him after the trip and that she even went on a trip with the ex boyfriend and the girl gave the excuse that she didnt know that he's going...hahaha! seriously, i didnt mean to eavesdrop..but they were not exactly whispering...i've already tried my best not to look at them or burst out in giggles..but i think they knew i was listening...anyway, i think the guy got a little emotional..and i thought i heard him sob or knock his fist against the air plane's window?? hahahaha! after a while i got tired of their recurring conversation and fell asleep..and when i woke up again, they had managed to make up and was all lovey-dovey again...*sighz* i misssed the MOST important part....so irritating!!!! and they were even smooching for quite a bit...hahahaha! i really really couldnt stop myself from grinning and i hope that they did not see me doing that!! seriously i thought it was really dramatic and i felt like i'm watching some taiwanese serial drama...

well well..basically, i really really really enjoy my trip to Bali and i had a lot of fun with my lovely korean friend...we were already planning on our trip next year...or even later part of the year...hahahahaha! and for sure, i'm going back to Bali....

OH MY GOD!!!!! i just felt tremors while sitting in my office...i am SERIOUS..this is my first time experiencing earthquake tremors...geez, it must be a huge earthquake if not we wouldnt have felt it...and furthermore my office is not by the sea!!!

actually, i thought i was fainting..i didnt know everyone can feel it...until there was a commotion around and everyone started asking.." did you feel it? " hahaha! another colleague even thought that it's a ghost...that's soooooo funny... but seriously, i do not want to die..i still have many wishes to fulfil...but if it shakes tomorrow and i die..it would be damn cool....because my birthday and deathdate would be on the same day! haha!

anyway, after like 5 minutes of the tremors....we were told to evacuate our building...which i find it very duhz...because why did it take 5 minutes for the building's facilities people to tell us to evcuate? and what if the building shake again and we're all walking down the stairs? and guess what? we were told that the building is safe when i just reached the ground floor...haha! made me walked 12 floors down in my heels...damn

ooh...been back from Bali since sunday..and the moment i stepped onto the plane...I MISS BALI ALREADY!!! *sob sob* i need to go back there again soon...very very soon....

guess what? we felt the tremors AGAIN!!! and this time...it lasted longer....i was standing and i was literally swaying from side to side..this is soooo scarry...and guess what? this time...the building facilities people told us to evacuate the building IMMEDIATELY..haha! initially i as reluctant to go down..as i have to climb down 12 storeys in my high heels again..but one colleague said.. " we better go..when the first plane hit tower 1 of the twin tower..those in tower 2 refused to evacuate...and so... " upon hearing this..i dashed for the stairs..hahaha..i seriously do not want to die now....

on friday morning..i was just talking to my colleague...he looked tired and i asked him if he's partying and he said he was at a wake the previous night..and then i casually mentioned this : "mmmm..it seems that i've never attended a wake before...except for my granny's funeral last year.." and guess what? at 4 plus in the afternoon, one of my good friends text me: " my mum passed away " seriously, is it just coincidental or am i the "suay" one? it was soo sudden and sad that i didnt know how to react...sighz..the mum is so young and i must say my friend is such a strong girl..i really admire her for all the things she has done for her family... my kudos to her...

now....looking at my previous entry..i think i'm damn childish as compared to her...and incidently, i'm supposed to be 8 months older..hahaha guess i'm really living in a very protected environment..no wonder my mum is giving me all the shit when i said i'm going to Bali next week...but then again, i guess it's her menopause..causing her to have anger flare...i guess i need to be more understanding and all...sighz, now i feel so bad about the complaints that i've made towards my mum..hahahaha! maybe God is telling me something..because i did pray for God to help me to get through these anger flares... *shrugs*

on another note...on saturday morning...i actually went all the way to MS road to fetch a friend home...because he told me he's sorta drunk..i was in tampines..i live in hougang..he lives in ang mo kio..and i dont know why i went all the way down to fetch him home...sometimes i hate myself for not being able to say " no " to such requests...seriuosly, why should i do that in the first place? and furthermore, i'm a girl and my friend is a guy...isnt it a bit duhz to get a girl to be the driver? well, not pissed or anything...but just wonder, why some of my guy friends like to treat me in this manner? hahahaha..and guess what, when i send my friend to his door-step..he said " bye " instead of " thanks "...am i supposed to get angry? *shrugs* but i'm not...

on a happier note...some guy from the london office will be here for 3 weeks..and his name is Saad Mannan...to me..it's a really funny name..firstly, do i call him "Sad" or "Sud"? and also..if you look carefully, doesnt his name reminds you of "Sad Man"..if one types too fast .... guess what was the most exciting thing that happened to me during this chinese new year? mmm..i think none would have given me the correct answer..because it's something which will not happen to most people...nope, i did not make a killing from gambling...i didnt not win 4D or toto..although i dont really mind if i did...i didnt get myself hitched...hahaha...I WENT DRAGONFLY WITH MY MUM, AUNTIE and 2 UNCLES!! *laughs* isnt that very very interesting??? it was a very last minute and spontaneous idea...we were just driving back home from someone's house..and then suddenly, my uncle asked.." so are we going home now? " then my mum said.." if not go home...go where? chiong? haha " then my uncle said.." do you want? i dont mind.. " then my auntie went.." huh? " then suddenly, we're on our way to Dragonfly... in a brand new BMW 5 series...was telling my uncle since we're driving such a nice car, we should use the valet and arrive in style..but i guess it's quite crappy as my uncle ignored my suggestion...haha!

anyway, we arrived there and it was not really packed but quite packed...as it was only my 2nd time there...not very sure how to navigate as well...finally, we found a table right at the back..not too bad..ordered our drinks..and then basically, we just stood there and watch the obiang and obit stage performance by this unknown girl, guy-who-look-like-he-was-once-in-singapore-idol-and-named-ben and sylvester sim...hahaha! i dont know why..but somehow, i like seeing sly on stage..although he's very beng, skinny and whatever...the moment he smiled..i sort of melt a little...hahaha! they were singing chinese songs..and i dont really know what songs they were belting out but i reckon they are famous songs as most of the other patrons are singing along with them... the only uninteresting part is...my relatives refused to order drinks...ARGH! i thought i could get free drinks..but they said one is enough...*mutter mutter* and my uncle must be damn bored to notice this other uncle, who was sort of walking around the club trying to pick up young girls..and what makes it interesting is that my uncle actually recognized him as the security guard of some building...hahahaha

and guess what? my mum got picked up by some young punks from the next table..hahahahaha! basically, there was a group of ugly looking guys drinking and making a lot of noise at the next table...suddenly one of them started talking to my mum and offering her a glass of thick chivas green tea...and they were pretty shocked to learn that we are related and not colleagues...and then suddenly, i was introducing myself to some of them and i dont even remember any names...actually they wanted to offer my mum another glass because after my mum finished the glas of thick chivas green tea..they went.." wow, this lady can drink..." hahahahahaha and yes, my mum can really drink...oh, but my mum declined the 2nd glass as we're about to head home... and on the way home, my mum kept talking about them..and kept saying.." they're not my cup of tea..i could be their mother...they spent their 1 month's salary on the 4 bottles of Chivas " hahaha! actually i did ask and those guys are mostly regulars... seriously, i think it's pretty cool to be pick up by guys when you're old and not hot at all...hahahahahahahahahaha! anyway, after last night, my mum was saying.." i need to do this on a weekly basis " hahahahahahaha! welcome to the clubbing scene mummy!

on another note....i totally hate my mum...she is such a pain in my arse...EVERY FUCKING TIME i mentioned that i wanna do something that i really want and like..she will just be the wettest blanket you can ever find...previously, i wanna learn diving..she said i only want to do it because i'm following some trend..what fucking trend was she talking about??? if she said that it's dangerous or whatever, okay i could understand but she said i was being coerced by my friends...rubbish!!! but anyhow, i went ahead despite her objections..i wanna live the life i want...not the life full of regrets..hahaha! planning to go again i think...i'm going to Bali next week...and i've already told her 2 months ago in late Dec that i'm going to Bali with my colleague...and i'm going alone and meeting her over there...and have also told her last week that i'm going on 28 feb to 4 mar...and also told her that i'm sort of riding on my colleague's korean package...and guess what?

Indonesia is so chaotic..why cant you go Korea to meet your colleague? and why didnt you discuss with me on the packages and everything else? why do you always tell me stuffs at the last minute? why didnt you think of the consequences before acting? you're flying there alone..arent you afraid? if Japanese tourist can get killed in Singapore, what if you're being murdered in Indonesia? also, you cannot speak bahasa and they dont speak english, there will be language barrier, so what's so fun? and when things happen, then you start to push the responsibility around..." WHAT THE FUCK IS SHE RATTLING ON ABOUT? does she even know what she's talking?? seriously, i'm simply ignoring her..not even bothering to reply her...she can say all the rubbish she wants..but it's my life and i wanna live the life i wanna live..like what my uncle has said.. seriously, why is my mum such a pain? i think i've been a good girl ....for all my life..i have never once rebutted her or even argued with her... neither have i slammed my door or walked away from her nonsensical nagging...unlike my brother, but yet she can tolerate my brother's rude behavior but she has to give me such shit? seriously, when she said that i might die in Bali..in my heart i was like..i dont really mind and before i die, i would make sure that i write a letter and get them to send back to her..and in my letter i will say that i have no regrets dying overseas as i've done what i wanna do and not listen to her nonsense and live a life of regrets...and this would make her live her rest of her life in deep regrets...hahahaha..boy, arent i mean? but seriously, if she really pisses me off badly, i would consider packing up and going... to where? no idea but at least away from the pain...

okay, i know my mum is menopausing and she's concerned about my safety..but hello, i'm just going to Bali and not Baghdad... and does she have to kick up such a big fuss and make all those untrue statements? seriously, as i and her get older, i'm beginning to distance myself away from her..not that i want to but she forces me to with all her nonsense... even my dad is giving up hope... sometimes i dont understand at all..if she thinks that she doesnt have enough to spend, go out and find some part-time job...dont give me the stupid excuse that she needs to monitor my youngest brother who is already sec 3 and she doesnt even know what he's studying about... and if she chooses to be a housewife, dont complain that no one is helping out with the chores... it's not as if we're all housewives and she's the only housewife working... like now, she's nagging my dad for snacking non-stop..WHAT IS HER FUCKING PROBLEM???!!!!! seriously, she's making me hate her..not that i wanna hate her...but she's really forcing me to hate her.... sometimes, when i couldnt find some things in the kitchen, she would go... i dont like Chinese New Year!

okay...although i'm not a big fan of the Chinese New Year...i still have to wish everyone... HAPPY NEW YEAR!! well, am not sure if i'm the only one feeling kinda bored and sad during this festive season... and dont accused me of spoiling the festive mood before you read on to find out what i've been doing for the past few days....

Reunion Dinner Night:
basically, we have dinner at my uncle's house...it was sort of like a pot-luck dinner...each family brought about a dish or 2..and i think we have too much food...was feeling sooo full after the whole dinner that i dont really recall what i've done after dinner...hahaha

1st Day of CNY:
woke up at 2pm..*gasps* and then got ready and went over to granny's house...said "hi" and "happy new year" to everyone...and then collected my red packets...ate my lunch....watched tv...played a bit of blackjack...wanna watch movie but no tickets...went over to uncle's house to play a bit of mahjong..went home....desperately wanting to go partying...but NO FRIENDS to go with me..how pathetic am i??? and becaues my paternal granny passed away less then a year ago..i'm not allowed to say " gong xi fa cai" to anyone..hahahaha according to my maternal granny...dont ask me why...

2nd Day of CNY:
woke up at 11 plus....and met up with a friend for lunch..wanted to go novena's hong kong cafe..but it seemed closed....drove all the way to orchard and ate at swensen's and the food is sooo pathetically small and awful...guess when demand exceeds supply, shit is passed on to the consumers...went back to uncle's house for steamboat...then the 4 adults played mahjong...and i literally watched tv and fell asleep on the couch...fetched my granny home...watched sex and the city till 2am...

3rd Day of CNY:
woke up at 1pm...ate lunch...watched sex and the city....bathed...ate dinner...period.

see how boring and pathetic my CNY was? basically, i spent it sleeping, watching tv, eating, sleeping, watching tv...that's about it..i dont have much relatives to visit...nothing much to do...dont know where are all my friends...after watching sex and the city...i'm soooo jealous of carrie bradshaw..i wanna have friends like hers....*ARGH* and then i wanna gamble..no khakis..i wanna go clubbing...no khakis....am i really that lonely?? to think that i took 2 more days off to enjoy but i kinda regret...hahahaha..but am not cancelling my time-offs...still going to laze around...haha!

however, i must say...my red packets collection this year is pretty good...although i only have 9 packets..but the amount i have is almost 800 bucks! hahahahaha..which is an average of 100 bucks per packet? which is of course not true....just that my uncles are pretty rich and can afford to give us more money....as we have only 6 children for them to give red packets to....however, need to use this money to pay off my credit cards' bills...pathetic right???

and as usual...when all my uncles and aunties gathered together to talk...they will start asking about my love life..when i told them it's blank..they will go on and on about it's about time..blah blah blah..i need to find someone..blah blah blah...and all i can say is..." yesh yesh yesh " hahahaha..but one of my aunties is sooo cute..she offered to introduce guys to me....shje said her cousin is some pilot trainer and has a group of traineee and some of them quite eligible...ooh, quite excited..SIA pilot..which means i can fly free? hahahahahaha..shall see if she can give me good news....she even told me to join some SDU activities...asked my friends to introduce guys to me..blah blah...actually, i dont know why none of my friends offered to introduce their friends to me...am i that bad??? *shrugs*

anyway, i'm looking forward to my bali trip next week...YIPEEEEEEEE...cant wait to meet up with my lovely korean colleague...and then we're going to enjoy ourselves to the max...get a nice tan, hitch up some cute guys, relax and chill out...i'm feeling so excited just by thinking about it....hahaha!

Happy Valentine's Day!

as usual...i do not have any dates on this day...not really sad because this has been the case for like...forever? hahahaha but then again, i guess it's alright...because i guess many of my friends who are attached also do not celebrate this day... but this year, i thnk the hype about Valentine's isnt that great? i dont see much marketing going on...

talking about that...the CNY festive mood is not here either..i wonder why..i do see CNY decorations here and there..but somehow, i dont feel excited that CNY is here... i believe..as we get more affluent, we buy clothes and eat good stuffs almost as and when we like..and so CNY is no longer that special to us? further, as one gets older, one gets more paiseh to collect red packets and thus, the whole meaning of CNY is gone? hahahaha..okok..maybe the red packet thingy is just for me...

anyway, nothing much exciting has been happening to me..life is as usual... but currently, i've started watching "HEROES"... heh heh! it was a show recommended by many to me...but seriously, i dont think it's that great...the pace is too slow...am at the 9th episode and the so-called heroes are still trying to find their identities...the show is rather predictable at this moment...and also it's too x-menish..not that i dont like x-men but somehow, as i watched..i tend to link it to x-men...for example, there's a girl called "Claire" in Heroes who cannot be hurt...doesnt she sound like Wolfverine? there's this man called Peter who are able to sort of absorb other people's powers...Rogue? hahahaha... anyway, will still continue watching as i wanna go with the flow...hahahaha!

on a different note...today my manager decided to give us a breakfast treat and so i was assigned to take orders and buy...well, basically i'm okay with that..and so i sent out messges, took orders and went down to get coffee/tea and what-so-not...what really pissed me off is...a few cups of the coffee/tea are still sitting at where i've left them in the morning...hello, please DO NOT expect me to serve you..i'm not a coffee lady and even if i was, i'm not obliged to do that..i'm already doing a kind favor...going down to get food for you guys and you guys just sit on your butt and expect me to serve you? to hell with that...i mean i'm sure there's some commotion when i came back with the food..so dont give me the excuse that you're so engrossed in your work and blah blah blah...*puke* and guess what? one of them actually messaged me.."hannah, are we getting the drinks or is it cancelled?" then i replied.." no, it's here..did you get it?" then she replied.." no, where is it? your desk?" and so i replied.. "no, it's at xxx's desk"...and she didnt even thank me for buying or telling her...WTF???!!! do i look like a maid to you...so irritating...i mean i seriously do not mind running down and getting the food but do take the initiative to "claim" it and DONT expect me to serve you...what a bunch of losers... *puke*

mmm....my valentine's day doesnt seem very happy ya? hahaha...actually not really, i'm basically happy... :)

I'm so proud of our Singapore Lions...i didnt think that they would win..but hey, they did...arent they great? actually frankly speaking, they are not as good as the Thais...hahaha! but anyhow, who cares...WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!

THE FIRST LEG IN SINGAPORE:

anyway, this ASEAN championship...i actually went to watch it at our very own National Stadium..a few of us, all Singaporean soccer fans (ya right! haha) decided to give our team the greatest support they could get...so one of us went to get tickets for 8 of us...pretty exiting..on the day itself...01/31/07, we were all clad in red and white..all ready to support our very own soccer team...we left office almost on the dot and were all prepared with our "sumptous" dinner of KFC...took a train there...thank God if not we would be stuck in a heavy traffic jam..and oh my goodness...Kallang MRT station was soooooo packed..almost the whole of singapore was there...hahahahaha! everyone was cladded in red and white...so patriotic ya? *winks* walked our way to the stadium...not sure if i'm a fast walker or my colleagues are just slow..i have to kept slowing down to make sure i dont lose them in the crowd...hahaha! but hey, if not for my fast walking..we wouldnt be able to get good seats in the stadium... *smilez* took this picture with my V3...



and let me tell you..it's amazingly crazy....everyone was in such high spirits...that even before the match began..the kallang wave and cheers have started... i was kinda saving my energy for the REAL match...haha! and whenever the photographer walked near the crowd..everyone just started screaming and flashing whatever red and white thing they have just to be on the coverpage of some newspaper...hahaha! amazing people...

anyway, i must say..it was a pretty interesting match...although when compared to EPL or world cup, the game seemed a little slow..but the atmospher is simply amazing..everyone's so patriotic and everyone's so hyped up about the whole game...somehow, it will stirred up the rowdy and violent self in everyone...whenever there's a foul called against Singapore, the whole, and i mean whole stadium will start to protest with all sorts of vulgarities...hahahaha! even my colleague, who has always been kinda demure started to shout all kinds of vulgarities...from english to malay to hokkien...hahahaha..was soooooo shocked!! in fact, i enjoyed his show as much as i enjoyed the soccer match... and i learnt a new malay word: "BUTOK" which means "pussies" hahahaha!

am not going into the details of the match as am sure every single local newspaper is splashed with news and comments on that...but here is a picture i took when the Thai walked out of the field after the really bad call from the referee...very dramatic and classic!

actually, i was kinda blur...because i dont really watch local soccer and the only singapore player i know if Fandi Ahmad and he's always in red, i thought we were the red team...so when the match began, i was kinda confused as to why everyone's cheering the blue team..hahaha..and so i asked rather loudly:" hey, wait! are we the red or blue team?" hahahaha...basically people around me gave me that "what the fuck are you doing here" look..and one even asked my colleague.." your friend here first time watch soccer? " so embarassing...but then again, i'm kinda glad that number 8 - Shah Alam scored the goal...so that i can tell everyone..he's wearing blue and 8...so he's riding on my Lampard good skills...hahaha!

I have a thai colleague who was at the match as well..but of course..he sat with the Thais...and he was just telling us...how safe we were...initially, when the match began, there were 2 policemen standing in their area...when Singapore scored the first goal....there were 4 policemen...after the Thais scored, there were 8 policemen...and when the penalty was awarded to Singapore..there were 16 policemen...hahahahahaha! guess we were really very safety-conscious???

THE SECOND LEG IN THAILAND:

hahahaha..no, i didnt make a trip to Thailand to watch the match..even if i want..i think my mum would put her life down to protest...given all the safety and securities reasons...actually, the same group of colleagues wanna gather at someone's house to watch the match together..but it was cancelled at the very last minute as it seemed some of them couldnt make it..was kinda disappointed..as i was looking forward to that gathering...so in the end, i watched the game at my granny's house with my primary 4 cousin..hahaha!

basically, we were just sitting in the living room..and whenever there's a goal or an almost goal..i would start screaming...just screaming, no vulgarities...must maintain a good image in front of my cousin and granny..hahaha! and my primary 4 cousin was so amazed by my sudden outbreak that whenever i screamed, he laughed..hahaha..and my 3 year old cousin will tell me.." i scared " hahahaha..and my granny said i'm mad...however, i must say the Thais played really well...but we Singaporeans pulled up our socks in the 2nd half and that unsung hero saved the day...

am very very happy and proud of our Singapore Lions!!
