Bali...

yes...this is the beach which i see for 4 consecutive days...it's not exactly clear and blue..but it's damn cool to live near the beach...anyway, have an amazing time in Bali...it was soooo fun that the moment i stepped onto the home bound plane..i'm planning for my next trip to Bali...haha!

basically, this was a trip planned between me and my lovely korean colleague...actually i think she's more like a friend now...haha! i arrived in Bali around 9 pm and she arrived in Bali around 11pm...it was sooo amazing to see her after a year..and indeed, she has become prettier..just like me..hahaha!



this is the room that we stayed in..it's pretty huge and it's located next to the resort pool...our hotel is called Kind Villa Bintang and it's located at Nusa Dua...however, my next trip, i'm so going to stay in Hard Rock Cafe as it's much more happening over there...but anyhow, it's a nice resort...





basically, on the first day...we just lazed by the pool till noon..then we had a day tour at Uluwatu..which is basically a very grand temple...with basically nothing but tons of monkeys...hahaha! i was with a korean tour group because my lovely korean friend joined a package...and guess what? the koreans think that i'm a very shy korean who doesnt speak much..hahaha! but the truth is..i cannot speak korean at all...and the locals also think that i'm korean...hahaha! i wonder if i really look like one or it's the season of koreans over at Bali now? *shrugs* but anyhow, i dont mind being recognize as a korean... *smilez*

we were not allowed to go in..but the devotees are allowed...

got to wear the purple cloth to cover my knees..as a form of respect..but the problem is..as i walked...my knees were still exposed..hahaha! so it's pointless and hot...

after the visit to this temple at some mountains...we proceed for a one hour massage session...it was very very relaxing...wanted very much to fell asleep..but hahaha, can be quite painful..so only manage to catch 20 winks instead of 40...but it a good session....after that, it was time for dinner...instead of following the tour group to some korean food...we proceed to one highly recommended restaurant by many: Kudeta..it was a very very posh place hidden in some ulu area and by the beach...funnily, every place is by the beach..hahaha! it's a very touristy place as once you stepped into that restaurant..there arent any local...the food was nice and the ambience was really cool...

went back early to rest as we planned to do water sports on the next day..but lo and behold...it was raining heavily....woke up at 8am and saw that it's raining....because of the good weather..we decided to laze in bed...and changed our plans from water sports to shopping...left the hotel around noon...went to shop in Kuta and Nusa Dua...shopping was not very shiok as the things are not that cheap..and the brands are mostly surfing brands which were quite pricey...but somehow, i stil managed to buy the following:

ooh..and that night we went clubbing at 2 of the more famous clubs in Bali..they are Club Paparazi and Club Double 6...the music is soooooooo good...but the crowd is kinda horrible...there are tons of ang-mohs..as expected..but none of them are cute..most of them were old and it's pretty obvious why the balinese girls were there at the club....but i must say the music was damnnnnnnn good...no pictures as both of us were too lazy to bring the camera...hahaha!

so we woke up early next morning and prayed for the sun...but well, it wasnt sunny neither was it rainy..so we still continue with our water sports...i did diving, flying fish, rocket boat and a turtle island tour...it was pretty cool..and i must say we were quite popular with the balinese guys...most of them asked us if we're going clubbing and if they could join us..hahahahaha i guess they must be quite desperate...

that night...we went clubbing again at Kuta...a club called M Bar Go..it was really really really really cool... and i believe it was near the Bali bombings..haha and i know whythey chose this place..it was really really happening and packed with foreigners...however,i like the music soooo much.. the hip hop is soooo nice and the house music...amazing...even better than MOS..hahaha! well, we accepted the invitations from 2 local guys we met at the sea sports shop..they came with their tiny scooters and we ride safely and slowly to Kuta..it was quite an experience...and along the way, i was chatting with my "date" and having cultural exchange...and i thought my friend and her "date" was doing the same...but apparently they are not....guess what? my friend's date kept asking her to sleep with him!! and i'm truly amazed by his command of english..the differnet ways of expressing interest in getting laid...hahaha..first, he used the words "have sex"...then he used.." come to my room "...then " it would be a different experience for me "...then it was.." come by my room... " and then " come to my room and i show you the style..maybe you will like it " hahahahahaha! i couldnt stop laughing when my friend told me...because seriously i really didnt know they were talking about such stuffs...for me, my "date" only asked once.." do you want to see my room? " and i went..." NO "....hahahaha..and then we went back to chatting about normal stuffs...hahahahahahaha.... i mean seriously, why would they think that we would go to bed with them?? they are sooo young, only 21 years old...tsk tsk..youngsters nowadays ah...getting more and more absurd..hahaha! and when we mentioned that we're singaporean and korean..we dont have to pay a single cent to get into the club...interesting right?

and on the way back...we saw 2 balinese girls wearing very little and touching up their make-up on their scooters...one old ang moh walked past...stopped and chatted a little with them...asking them where they are going...and suddenly, the 3 of them were good friends..going clubbing TOGETHER..oh my god, i really wonder, if those girls are prostitutes or are they just out to get laid and have fun??? hee hee hee...

on the last day, basically i just laze by the beach while my friend went off for her last day tour at ubud..couldnt join her as my flight was at 2pm...so i basically, lazed till like 12pm and made my way to the airport...as i took a shuttle bus to the airport..there were some middle eastern men with me..and they thought i was going to Japan..hahaha! i must have looked like a japanese to them...but this is NOT the most interesting incident on my way back....

on the flight..i was sitting beside 2 singaporeans..finally, i saw my fellow countrymen...but i was rather pissed as both of them took the whole compartment and i had to put my bag 2 compartment away..anyway, they "compensated" me by putting on a show for me..initially, they were all lovey-dovey..and i was getting a little irritated..and then suddenly, the tone became hostile and the girl ignored the guy..and they were not talking....then after the meal, they guy started a conversation..saying something like.." so how are we going to settle this? " and the girl didnt respond..and so he persisted..and finally the girl said.." you're always like that...when i tell you things, you just get pissed with me.. " and then the guy said.." it's because you always dont tell me the truth... " and then the girl said.." i did..but you said i didnt...and the way you questioned me is not the most polite way..." and so basically, the basis of their quarrel is this: the girl told the guy that she's avoiding her ex boyfriend at all cost but yet they went on a trip together with other colleague and the guy was upset that the girl only told him after the trip and that she even went on a trip with the ex boyfriend and the girl gave the excuse that she didnt know that he's going...hahaha! seriously, i didnt mean to eavesdrop..but they were not exactly whispering...i've already tried my best not to look at them or burst out in giggles..but i think they knew i was listening...anyway, i think the guy got a little emotional..and i thought i heard him sob or knock his fist against the air plane's window?? hahahaha! after a while i got tired of their recurring conversation and fell asleep..and when i woke up again, they had managed to make up and was all lovey-dovey again...*sighz* i misssed the MOST important part....so irritating!!!! and they were even smooching for quite a bit...hahahaha! i really really couldnt stop myself from grinning and i hope that they did not see me doing that!! seriously i thought it was really dramatic and i felt like i'm watching some taiwanese serial drama...

well well..basically, i really really really enjoy my trip to Bali and i had a lot of fun with my lovely korean friend...we were already planning on our trip next year...or even later part of the year...hahahahaha! and for sure, i'm going back to Bali....

OH MY GOD!!!!! i just felt tremors while sitting in my office...i am SERIOUS..this is my first time experiencing earthquake tremors...geez, it must be a huge earthquake if not we wouldnt have felt it...and furthermore my office is not by the sea!!!

actually, i thought i was fainting..i didnt know everyone can feel it...until there was a commotion around and everyone started asking.." did you feel it? " hahaha! another colleague even thought that it's a ghost...that's soooooo funny... but seriously, i do not want to die..i still have many wishes to fulfil...but if it shakes tomorrow and i die..it would be damn cool....because my birthday and deathdate would be on the same day! haha!

anyway, after like 5 minutes of the tremors....we were told to evacuate our building...which i find it very duhz...because why did it take 5 minutes for the building's facilities people to tell us to evcuate? and what if the building shake again and we're all walking down the stairs? and guess what? we were told that the building is safe when i just reached the ground floor...haha! made me walked 12 floors down in my heels...damn

ooh...been back from Bali since sunday..and the moment i stepped onto the plane...I MISS BALI ALREADY!!! *sob sob* i need to go back there again soon...very very soon....

2 HOURS LATER....

guess what? we felt the tremors AGAIN!!! and this time...it lasted longer....i was standing and i was literally swaying from side to side..this is soooo scarry...and guess what? this time...the building facilities people told us to evacuate the building IMMEDIATELY..haha! initially i as reluctant to go down..as i have to climb down 12 storeys in my high heels again..but one colleague said.. " we better go..when the first plane hit tower 1 of the twin tower..those in tower 2 refused to evacuate...and so... " upon hearing this..i dashed for the stairs..hahaha..i seriously do not want to die now....

on friday morning..i was just talking to my colleague...he looked tired and i asked him if he's partying and he said he was at a wake the previous night..and then i casually mentioned this : "mmmm..it seems that i've never attended a wake before...except for my granny's funeral last year.." and guess what? at 4 plus in the afternoon, one of my good friends text me: " my mum passed away " seriously, is it just coincidental or am i the "suay" one? it was soo sudden and sad that i didnt know how to react...sighz..the mum is so young and i must say my friend is such a strong girl..i really admire her for all the things she has done for her family... my kudos to her...

now....looking at my previous entry..i think i'm damn childish as compared to her...and incidently, i'm supposed to be 8 months older..hahaha guess i'm really living in a very protected environment..no wonder my mum is giving me all the shit when i said i'm going to Bali next week...but then again, i guess it's her menopause..causing her to have anger flare...i guess i need to be more understanding and all...sighz, now i feel so bad about the complaints that i've made towards my mum..hahahaha! maybe God is telling me something..because i did pray for God to help me to get through these anger flares... *shrugs*

on another note...on saturday morning...i actually went all the way to MS road to fetch a friend home...because he told me he's sorta drunk..i was in tampines..i live in hougang..he lives in ang mo kio..and i dont know why i went all the way down to fetch him home...sometimes i hate myself for not being able to say " no " to such requests...seriuosly, why should i do that in the first place? and furthermore, i'm a girl and my friend is a guy...isnt it a bit duhz to get a girl to be the driver? well, not pissed or anything...but just wonder, why some of my guy friends like to treat me in this manner? hahahaha..and guess what, when i send my friend to his door-step..he said " bye " instead of " thanks "...am i supposed to get angry? *shrugs* but i'm not...

on a happier note...some guy from the london office will be here for 3 weeks..and his name is Saad Mannan...to me..it's a really funny name..firstly, do i call him "Sad" or "Sud"? and also..if you look carefully, doesnt his name reminds you of "Sad Man"..if one types too fast .... Sad Man can become Saad Mannan...hahahaha! my colleagues couldnt stop laughing when i told them this... and today i noticed that my "whassup" boss is giving out the Sasame Street's Ernie's vibes!! hahaha...maybe the lack of sleep is making me cranky...

guess what was the most exciting thing that happened to me during this chinese new year? mmm..i think none would have given me the correct answer..because it's something which will not happen to most people...nope, i did not make a killing from gambling...i didnt not win 4D or toto..although i dont really mind if i did...i didnt get myself hitched...hahaha...I WENT DRAGONFLY WITH MY MUM, AUNTIE and 2 UNCLES!! *laughs* isnt that very very interesting??? it was a very last minute and spontaneous idea...we were just driving back home from someone's house..and then suddenly, my uncle asked.." so are we going home now? " then my mum said.." if not go home...go where? chiong? haha " then my uncle said.." do you want? i dont mind.. " then my auntie went.." huh? " then suddenly, we're on our way to Dragonfly... in a brand new BMW 5 series...was telling my uncle since we're driving such a nice car, we should use the valet and arrive in style..but i guess it's quite crappy as my uncle ignored my suggestion...haha!

anyway, we arrived there and it was not really packed but quite packed...as it was only my 2nd time there...not very sure how to navigate as well...finally, we found a table right at the back..not too bad..ordered our drinks..and then basically, we just stood there and watch the obiang and obit stage performance by this unknown girl, guy-who-look-like-he-was-once-in-singapore-idol-and-named-ben and sylvester sim...hahaha! i dont know why..but somehow, i like seeing sly on stage..although he's very beng, skinny and whatever...the moment he smiled..i sort of melt a little...hahaha! they were singing chinese songs..and i dont really know what songs they were belting out but i reckon they are famous songs as most of the other patrons are singing along with them... the only uninteresting part is...my relatives refused to order drinks...ARGH! i thought i could get free drinks..but they said one is enough...*mutter mutter* and my uncle must be damn bored to notice this other uncle, who was sort of walking around the club trying to pick up young girls..and what makes it interesting is that my uncle actually recognized him as the security guard of some building...hahahaha

and guess what? my mum got picked up by some young punks from the next table..hahahahaha! basically, there was a group of ugly looking guys drinking and making a lot of noise at the next table...suddenly one of them started talking to my mum and offering her a glass of thick chivas green tea...and they were pretty shocked to learn that we are related and not colleagues...and then suddenly, i was introducing myself to some of them and i dont even remember any names...actually they wanted to offer my mum another glass because after my mum finished the glas of thick chivas green tea..they went.." wow, this lady can drink..." hahahahahaha and yes, my mum can really drink...oh, but my mum declined the 2nd glass as we're about to head home... and on the way home, my mum kept talking about them..and kept saying.." they're not my cup of tea..i could be their mother...they spent their 1 month's salary on the 4 bottles of Chivas " hahaha! actually i did ask and those guys are mostly regulars... seriously, i think it's pretty cool to be pick up by guys when you're old and not hot at all...hahahahahahahahahaha! anyway, after last night, my mum was saying.." i need to do this on a weekly basis " hahahahahahaha! welcome to the clubbing scene mummy!

on another note....i totally hate my mum...she is such a pain in my arse...EVERY FUCKING TIME i mentioned that i wanna do something that i really want and like..she will just be the wettest blanket you can ever find...previously, i wanna learn diving..she said i only want to do it because i'm following some trend..what fucking trend was she talking about??? if she said that it's dangerous or whatever, okay i could understand but she said i was being coerced by my friends...rubbish!!! but anyhow, i went ahead despite her objections..i wanna live the life i want...not the life full of regrets..hahaha! planning to go again i think...i'm going to Bali next week...and i've already told her 2 months ago in late Dec that i'm going to Bali with my colleague...and i'm going alone and meeting her over there...and have also told her last week that i'm going on 28 feb to 4 mar...and also told her that i'm sort of riding on my colleague's korean package...and guess what?

just now, she said this to me: " so when are you going Bali? didnt you read the newspaper or hear the news that there will be terrorist attacks in Indonesia? Indonesia is so chaotic..why cant you go Korea to meet your colleague? and why didnt you discuss with me on the packages and everything else? why do you always tell me stuffs at the last minute? why didnt you think of the consequences before acting? you're flying there alone..arent you afraid? if Japanese tourist can get killed in Singapore, what if you're being murdered in Indonesia? also, you cannot speak bahasa and they dont speak english, there will be language barrier, so what's so fun? and when things happen, then you start to push the responsibility around..." WHAT THE FUCK IS SHE RATTLING ON ABOUT? does she even know what she's talking?? seriously, i'm simply ignoring her..not even bothering to reply her...she can say all the rubbish she wants..but it's my life and i wanna live the life i wanna live..like what my uncle has said.. " life is short..enjoy while you can..why bother to make life diffcult over small issues? "

seriously, why is my mum such a pain? i think i've been a good girl ....for all my life..i have never once rebutted her or even argued with her... neither have i slammed my door or walked away from her nonsensical nagging...unlike my brother, but yet she can tolerate my brother's rude behavior but she has to give me such shit? seriously, when she said that i might die in Bali..in my heart i was like..i dont really mind and before i die, i would make sure that i write a letter and get them to send back to her..and in my letter i will say that i have no regrets dying overseas as i've done what i wanna do and not listen to her nonsense and live a life of regrets...and this would make her live her rest of her life in deep regrets...hahahaha..boy, arent i mean? but seriously, if she really pisses me off badly, i would consider packing up and going... to where? no idea but at least away from the pain...

okay, i know my mum is menopausing and she's concerned about my safety..but hello, i'm just going to Bali and not Baghdad... and does she have to kick up such a big fuss and make all those untrue statements? seriously, as i and her get older, i'm beginning to distance myself away from her..not that i want to but she forces me to with all her nonsense... even my dad is giving up hope... sometimes i dont understand at all..if she thinks that she doesnt have enough to spend, go out and find some part-time job...dont give me the stupid excuse that she needs to monitor my youngest brother who is already sec 3 and she doesnt even know what he's studying about... and if she chooses to be a housewife, dont complain that no one is helping out with the chores... it's not as if we're all housewives and she's the only housewife working... like now, she's nagging my dad for snacking non-stop..WHAT IS HER FUCKING PROBLEM???!!!!! seriously, she's making me hate her..not that i wanna hate her...but she's really forcing me to hate her.... sometimes, when i couldnt find some things in the kitchen, she would go... " why are you all so stupid? dont even know where the basic stuffs are kept in the kitchen? if i die, you all will be helpless " seriously, most of the time, i'm saying this to myself : go ahead and die, i dont fucking care and i wont be helpless... hahahaha!

okay people..after reading this..dont bother to tell me to cool down and relax and that my mum is only menopausing and this is just a phrase.... i know some of you may have gone through worse shit but this is just me complaining about my mother...sometimes, i wonder, why cant she be as cool as my grandmother aka her mother? hahahahahahahaha...i was sooo pissed with her that i wish i would die in my sleep tonight...hahaha so if there arent any more posts after this....i've already died..hahaha!

after posting this entry..i think i may be a little too harsh...also after listening to dydy's story..i feel so ashamed of myself..hahahaha! and after talking to sharon, who also faced the same problem as me...maybe i'm not that alone in this world...hahahahaha but still i think my mum still pissed me off with all her nonsense...but well, she's my mother...so i guess i have to live with it...right? :P

i dont like Chinese New Year!

okay...although i'm not a big fan of the Chinese New Year...i still have to wish everyone... HAPPY NEW YEAR!! well, am not sure if i'm the only one feeling kinda bored and sad during this festive season... and dont accused me of spoiling the festive mood before you read on to find out what i've been doing for the past few days....

Reunion Dinner Night:
basically, we have dinner at my uncle's house...it was sort of like a pot-luck dinner...each family brought about a dish or 2..and i think we have too much food...was feeling sooo full after the whole dinner that i dont really recall what i've done after dinner...hahaha

1st Day of CNY:
woke up at 2pm..*gasps* and then got ready and went over to granny's house...said "hi" and "happy new year" to everyone...and then collected my red packets...ate my lunch....watched tv...played a bit of blackjack...wanna watch movie but no tickets...went over to uncle's house to play a bit of mahjong..went home....desperately wanting to go partying...but NO FRIENDS to go with me..how pathetic am i??? and becaues my paternal granny passed away less then a year ago..i'm not allowed to say " gong xi fa cai" to anyone..hahahaha according to my maternal granny...dont ask me why...

2nd Day of CNY:
woke up at 11 plus....and met up with a friend for lunch..wanted to go novena's hong kong cafe..but it seemed closed....drove all the way to orchard and ate at swensen's and the food is sooo pathetically small and awful...guess when demand exceeds supply, shit is passed on to the consumers...went back to uncle's house for steamboat...then the 4 adults played mahjong...and i literally watched tv and fell asleep on the couch...fetched my granny home...watched sex and the city till 2am...

3rd Day of CNY:
woke up at 1pm...ate lunch...watched sex and the city....bathed...ate dinner...period.

see how boring and pathetic my CNY was? basically, i spent it sleeping, watching tv, eating, sleeping, watching tv...that's about it..i dont have much relatives to visit...nothing much to do...dont know where are all my friends...after watching sex and the city...i'm soooo jealous of carrie bradshaw..i wanna have friends like hers....*ARGH* and then i wanna gamble..no khakis..i wanna go clubbing...no khakis....am i really that lonely?? to think that i took 2 more days off to enjoy but i kinda regret...hahahaha..but am not cancelling my time-offs...still going to laze around...haha!

however, i must say...my red packets collection this year is pretty good...although i only have 9 packets..but the amount i have is almost 800 bucks! hahahahaha..which is an average of 100 bucks per packet? which is of course not true....just that my uncles are pretty rich and can afford to give us more money....as we have only 6 children for them to give red packets to....however, need to use this money to pay off my credit cards' bills...pathetic right???

and as usual...when all my uncles and aunties gathered together to talk...they will start asking about my love life..when i told them it's blank..they will go on and on about it's about time..blah blah blah..i need to find someone..blah blah blah...and all i can say is..." yesh yesh yesh " hahahaha..but one of my aunties is sooo cute..she offered to introduce guys to me....shje said her cousin is some pilot trainer and has a group of traineee and some of them quite eligible...ooh, quite excited..SIA pilot..which means i can fly free? hahahahahaha..shall see if she can give me good news....she even told me to join some SDU activities...asked my friends to introduce guys to me..blah blah...actually, i dont know why none of my friends offered to introduce their friends to me...am i that bad??? *shrugs*

anyway, i'm looking forward to my bali trip next week...YIPEEEEEEEE...cant wait to meet up with my lovely korean colleague...and then we're going to enjoy ourselves to the max...get a nice tan, hitch up some cute guys, relax and chill out...i'm feeling so excited just by thinking about it....hahaha!

Happy Valentine's Day!

as usual...i do not have any dates on this day...not really sad because this has been the case for like...forever? hahahaha but then again, i guess it's alright...because i guess many of my friends who are attached also do not celebrate this day... but this year, i thnk the hype about Valentine's isnt that great? i dont see much marketing going on...

talking about that...the CNY festive mood is not here either..i wonder why..i do see CNY decorations here and there..but somehow, i dont feel excited that CNY is here... i believe..as we get more affluent, we buy clothes and eat good stuffs almost as and when we like..and so CNY is no longer that special to us? further, as one gets older, one gets more paiseh to collect red packets and thus, the whole meaning of CNY is gone? hahahaha..okok..maybe the red packet thingy is just for me...

anyway, nothing much exciting has been happening to me..life is as usual... but currently, i've started watching "HEROES"... heh heh! it was a show recommended by many to me...but seriously, i dont think it's that great...the pace is too slow...am at the 9th episode and the so-called heroes are still trying to find their identities...the show is rather predictable at this moment...and also it's too x-menish..not that i dont like x-men but somehow, as i watched..i tend to link it to x-men...for example, there's a girl called "Claire" in Heroes who cannot be hurt...doesnt she sound like Wolfverine? there's this man called Peter who are able to sort of absorb other people's powers...Rogue? hahahaha... anyway, will still continue watching as i wanna go with the flow...hahahaha!

on a different note...today my manager decided to give us a breakfast treat and so i was assigned to take orders and buy...well, basically i'm okay with that..and so i sent out messges, took orders and went down to get coffee/tea and what-so-not...what really pissed me off is...a few cups of the coffee/tea are still sitting at where i've left them in the morning...hello, please DO NOT expect me to serve you..i'm not a coffee lady and even if i was, i'm not obliged to do that..i'm already doing a kind favor...going down to get food for you guys and you guys just sit on your butt and expect me to serve you? to hell with that...i mean i'm sure there's some commotion when i came back with the food..so dont give me the excuse that you're so engrossed in your work and blah blah blah...*puke* and guess what? one of them actually messaged me.."hannah, are we getting the drinks or is it cancelled?" then i replied.." no, it's here..did you get it?" then she replied.." no, where is it? your desk?" and so i replied.. I'm so proud of our Singapore Lions...i didnt think that they would win..but hey, they did...arent they great? actually frankly speaking, they are not as good as the Thais...hahaha! but anyhow, who cares...WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!

THE FIRST LEG IN SINGAPORE:

anyway, this ASEAN championship...i actually went to watch it at our very own National Stadium..a few of us, all Singaporean soccer fans (ya right! haha) decided to give our team the greatest support they could get...so one of us went to get tickets for 8 of us...pretty exiting..on the day itself...01/31/07, we were all clad in red and white..all ready to support our very own soccer team...we left office almost on the dot and were all prepared with our "sumptous" dinner of KFC...took a train there...thank God if not we would be stuck in a heavy traffic jam..and oh my goodness...Kallang MRT station was soooooo packed..almost the whole of singapore was there...hahahahaha! everyone was cladded in red and white...so patriotic ya? *winks* walked our way to the stadium...not sure if i'm a fast walker or my colleagues are just slow..i have to kept slowing down to make sure i dont lose them in the crowd...hahaha! but hey, if not for my fast walking..we wouldnt be able to get good seats in the stadium... *smilez* took this picture with my V3...



and let me tell you..it's amazingly crazy....everyone was in such high spirits...that even before the match began..the kallang wave and cheers have started... i was kinda saving my energy for the REAL match...haha! and whenever the photographer walked near the crowd..everyone just started screaming and flashing whatever red and white thing they have just to be on the coverpage of some newspaper...hahaha! amazing people...

anyway, i must say..it was a pretty interesting match...although when compared to EPL or world cup, the game seemed a little slow..but the atmospher is simply amazing..everyone's so patriotic and everyone's so hyped up about the whole game...somehow, it will stirred up the rowdy and violent self in everyone...whenever there's a foul called against Singapore, the whole, and i mean whole stadium will start to protest with all sorts of vulgarities...hahahaha! even my colleague, who has always been kinda demure started to shout all kinds of vulgarities...from english to malay to hokkien...hahahaha..was soooooo shocked!! in fact, i enjoyed his show as much as i enjoyed the soccer match... and i learnt a new malay word: "BUTOK" which means "pussies" hahahaha!

am not going into the details of the match as am sure every single local newspaper is splashed with news and comments on that...but here is a picture i took when the Thai walked out of the field after the really bad call from the referee...very dramatic and classic!

actually, i was kinda blur...because i dont really watch local soccer and the only singapore player i know if Fandi Ahmad and he's always in red, i thought we were the red team...so when the match began, i was kinda confused as to why everyone's cheering the blue team..hahaha..and so i asked rather loudly:" hey, wait! are we the red or blue team?" hahahaha...basically people around me gave me that "what the fuck are you doing here" look..and one even asked my colleague.." your friend here first time watch soccer? " so embarassing...but then again, i'm kinda glad that number 8 - Shah Alam scored the goal...so that i can tell everyone..he's wearing blue and 8...so he's riding on my Lampard good skills...hahaha!

I have a thai colleague who was at the match as well..but of course..he sat with the Thais...and he was just telling us...how safe we were...initially, when the match began, there were 2 policemen standing in their area...when Singapore scored the first goal....there were 4 policemen...after the Thais scored, there were 8 policemen...and when the penalty was awarded to Singapore..there were 16 policemen...hahahahahaha! guess we were really very safety-conscious???

THE SECOND LEG IN THAILAND:

hahahaha..no, i didnt make a trip to Thailand to watch the match..even if i want..i think my mum would put her life down to protest...given all the safety and securities reasons...actually, the same group of colleagues wanna gather at someone's house to watch the match together..but it was cancelled at the very last minute as it seemed some of them couldnt make it..was kinda disappointed..as i was looking forward to that gathering...so in the end, i watched the game at my granny's house with my primary 4 cousin..hahaha!

basically, we were just sitting in the living room..and whenever there's a goal or an almost goal..i would start screaming...just screaming, no vulgarities...must maintain a good image in front of my cousin and granny..hahaha! and my primary 4 cousin was so amazed by my sudden outbreak that whenever i screamed, he laughed..hahaha..and my 3 year old cousin will tell me.." i scared " hahahaha..and my granny said i'm mad...however, i must say the Thais played really well...but we Singaporeans pulled up our socks in the 2nd half and that unsung hero saved the day...

am very very happy and proud of our Singapore Lions!!

there are many ways to say greet someone...some goes.." hey, hi "..some goes.. " yo! what's up? " some goes..." hello, how are you? " and there are many many many more of greeting someone...

recently, have been talking a lot to my boss who is an american based in australia..basically, every other day, my phone will ring and his name will be flashing on my caller ID...and every time the phone rang..my heart will miss a beat..because recieving a call from him either means i've done something wrong or there's more work to do..but of course most of the time it's the latter..hahahaha!

anyway, this boss of mine..he always go..." hey, what's up? " or " hey, how's it going? "...and everytime..i have NO idea how to reply him...and so everytime...when he said.." what's up? " i will go...." eh nothing? " haha...so lame right??? then when he goes...." hey, how's it going? " i will just go..." i guess good? " seriously, i feeeeeeel so stupid and lame...can someone tell me what should i say????

i think the next time...when my boss called..i shall use the same greetings and see how and what does he answer..then i would know what to say... hahahaha! seriously, i dont know why...although i've watched many american shows and all...none of them greet each other the way my boss greets me...*shrugs*

1st Wedding of 2007

on sunday...01/21/07, i attended my first wedding of 2007... it's a very simple wedding dinner as the couple already got married in December last year in taiwan....i was pretty excited as both both the bride and bridegroom are from my company..or rather the bride used to be from the same company..so it's sort of like a department outing? also..i really really really really really really really really like the bride a lot...she's one of the nicest people in my company...haha! anyway, the invitation card is really nice...see:



and so the wedding is also at somewhere very chinese...Grand Shanghai restaurant at King's center...it was located just right next to zouk..and many of us lamented on why was the dinner on a sunday night and not on a saturday night..then after food and free drinks..we could all proceed to zouk for partying..haha!

well...as the venue is something very chinese...the bridegroom wanted us to go in formal attire or even chinese costume...and so being the nice and sporting one..i actually went to chinatown to get a cheongsam..and it's quite cheap..40 bucks...i can wear for new year as well...hahahaha! see, dont i look pretty? hahaha

basically, the food is pretty nice...and something different about this restaurant is that it serves its dishes individually..so we dont really have to "snatch" our food..hahaha! also, there's free flow of white wine, red wine, beer, brandy, soft drinks and chinese tea..but just too bad, i was driving..i didnt drink much..*sighz* initially, another colleague was supposed to drive..but at 6pm, he called and said..." hannah, sorry..my brother wants to use the car and then we sort of quarrel..can you drive?" well..can i say no? hahahahahaha...

actually, the dinner was more like a taking pictures session for me..because i was wearing what i was wearing...one can say i'm pretty popular...many people wanna take pictures with me..hahaha...here are a few:

hee hee..finally a picture of the bride and groom...dont they look damn happy together??? actually i didnt have much chance to take a picture with the bride using my camera..but anyhow, their cameras took several pictures of us..so hopefully, i look good and pretty..hee hee!

at the finale...the bridegroom's mum actually went up to the stage and sang for us..she sand 夜来香 ...which was pretty good..and then the bridegroom "saboed" me and another colleague to go up to the stage and sing 月亮代表我的心... and we were pretty brave and sporting to actually did that song together..without any lyrics..but of course the bridegroom was mouthing to us the lyrics in front of us down by the stage...hahaha!

well, i must say it's a very enjoyable and happy night for all of us...am now looking forward to the next wedding...cannot remember when though..hahaha! one of my colleague told me that he alawys feel like getting married after attending weddings...funnily, i dont have that feelings...in fact i never had that feeling..hahaha! do you?

i am really getting older...

2007 has been a very very busy year for me sooo far...am so busy with work that i am unable to clear my backlog for the longest time...it's like..for every task that i've completed..i will be hit by 2 more tasks...*sighz* but i am still going home around the same time...maybe that's why unable to clear my backlog as i didnt work OT to clear it...haha! but come to think of it..when is work ever finished? if it can be finished within 1 OT...why would my company employ me on a monthly basis?

anyway... i seriously think i'm not that young anymore...i cannot believe it..in 4 years' time..i would have joined the 30 clan...*gasps* can still remember when i was 12 years old..i wish i was 16..and then when i was 16..i wish i was 18..and finally i'm 18..i wish i 'm 21..now that i'm no longer a teenager..i wish i was 16...hahahaha...human beings are such contradictory animals..actually some times, i wonder...would it be better to be a dog than a human? i mean look at all the dogs...they are pretty cool...they have owners, food, house, etc without even working..hahaha..but of cousre...there are those tortured dogs who suffered hell when on earth..

actually i think i can identify a few tell-tale signs that my biological clock is ticking really fast....

(1) most of my friends of the same era are either steadily attached or getting married - this is soooo scarry...one of my friends is even getting married at the end of the year....even if they are not getting married this year, i can see them getting married next year or the year after...and we are all of the SAME age...cannot imagine if one of them told me they are or their wives are pregnant...

(2) kids are told by their parents to call me "auntie hannah" - haha! although i do like kids calling me auntie hannah..but seriously, this is not a good sign..it used to be "hannah jie jie" ...but then again, some of the kids are like 20 over years younger than me...scarrryyyyyy

(3) i sing really old songs when i go KTV - went to sing on saturday..and amazingly, all the songs that i can sing are pretty old songs...haha! i cannot even belt the chorus of the latest songs by some of the famous mandarin pop stars...but then again, i dont even listen to chinese pop..but whatever! hahaha!

(4) i feel so old when i walked past the basketball court of football field - last time, i used to admire the guys playing these balls..but recently i went jogging in the park..i felt sooooo old when i ran past the court...EVERYONE's a teenager and i bet they must be thinking why is a fat and ugly auntie jogging in the park and spoiling their view..hahahaha

(5) i am no longer the youngest in my workplace - 3 years ago..when i first started working, i'm like the youngest and freshest...now, there are people who are actually younger than me!! this makes me feeel sooooo old....*sighz*

okay..i think i've crapped enough..dont even know what i'm really crapping here...anyway, i guess i just need to find someone to grow old with...any one out there interested? hahaha!

yes yes..it's CHRISTINA AGUILERA!! hahaha..i didnt buy the tickets to her concert..i got it FREE..from my uncle...and i got SIX tickets..and so 5 other lucky dudes went to the concert with me..yay! and each ticket cost SGD 350...oh man, soooo expensive..but seriously, Chris A rocks!! she can sing, she can dance and she's goood....very very entertaining..but too short, only 1.5 hours..what a pity....

year 2007

the first post of the new year... if you think this is going to be a blasting one...you're totally wrong! hahahaha because for the first 5 days of 2007..nothing blasting happened to me...unless you considered huge amount of workload to be something blasting... haha!

well...many people thought that i had a good time partying on new year's eve...well, just the opposite..on 12/31/06..i countdown to the new year with Kurt Angle! hahaha..for those who does know who he is...here is his picture:



actually had plans to go zouk..but my friends are either missing or working...only till 1am then they start asking if i wanna go out...but being in the comfort of my bed for 1 hour is more than enough to stop me from getting out of it..hahaha! but it's alright...the next day was my good and old friend's birthday and i was out till 5am in the morning... *smilez*

basically, this year..i only have 2 resolultions:
(1) To lose weight
(2) To get a boyfriend
hahaha! actually come to think of it..it's my every year resolutions...so many years already..still cannot resolve..quite sad ya...the first one is in view of all the weddings that i have to attend this year...i wanna look good..so that i can try to resolve the second one...in addition, my mum was mentioning about buying tao(2) hua(1) to put in my room so that i can get lucky in love..OH MY GOD..now even my mum is getting worried....

ooh..something horrible happened..my mum cancelled our internet access at home..*bawls* but then again..i'm not very much affected because i dont get to use the computer at home at all..my brother will be hogging it from 10pm to 6am..guess that makes my mum fed- up..haha! so maybe now i will have less entries as i might have to write in office..which i dont think i have much time unless it's after office hours..as i dont know why..my workload is getting heavier and heavier...*sighz*

well, 1 thing i'm looking for in 2007 is my travelling plans! *yay* i have BIG plans...i am planning to go Bali in March, date has been set 01 Mar to 04 Mar...USA in May, possibly 20 May to 30 May...Hong Kong in Nov, maybe 08 Nov to 12 Nov and a diving trip in between..hee hee hee..hopefully i have enough dough to pull me through and hopefully there arent any major bombings or riots or natural disasters for my mum to find excuses for nagging at me for going to these countries.. *pray hard hard* on another note, i might have a chance to go on a business trip to Malaysia, Shanghai and India..praying very hard as i will get a chance to take a business class flights.. *laughs* although i just found out that my friend has gone to PARIS for business..*very jealous*

well, basically i have a good feeling about this year..somehow, i find that this year would be the year where i will go far and good..hahaha! let's hope my feelings do not fail me...finally people..have a blessed and blasting 2007!!

The end of Saddam

mmm..today is the day that the Iraqi leader/dictator/ex-president/ etc was executed...at 11am (SGP time)/ 6am (Bagdad time)..if i didnt remember wrongly...not sure why..but i dont feel a lot a hatred towards him..haha! maybe because i'm not an Iraqi or an Iranian or a Kuwaitian/ Kuwati... but then again, like what the media has said..this is definitely a milestone in the history of Iraq's independence but it can also initate another wave of terror attacks and all...is the war really coming to an end??? *shrugs*

anyway, am sure the mass media has fed us with more than enough information about his crimes..and am sure both the young and old bush must be glad that their nemesis was finally gone...actually, i have no comments on Saddam's execution as i didnt really follow his trial and persecution...but Saddam's lawyer said that there wasnt a trial...seriously, i really wonder...was Saddam being treated fairly and given a fair chance to defend or plead for leniency? but then again, the crimes that he had committed were definitely not petty...they were seriously serious crimes...so maybe a trial would be a waste of time? hahahaha...

well, but i do feel that it was a rather anti-climax ending for Saddam...to me, he's someone who should die gloriously...maybe die in a war or die in a fight...definitely not at the gallows...it's so "un-warly"...it just doesnt seemed to fit my image of Saddam...but of course he's not a hero and should not die a heroic death..but he should have a dramatic death...f0r example he could be chased by hundreds of american soldiers and he would be fighting bravely with his comrades across the desert and ultimately, lost the battle... mmm, maybe something like LOTR would be nice...hahaha!

actually, i did mention to many of my friends that my dad looks like Saddam...maybe that's why i dont hate him that much as my dad looks like him... see:



hahaha! seriously, they do look alike right? even my mum used to call him "saddam hussein" when saddam was all good in the 90s...but of course my dad is an extremely nice father and he's definitely not evil...

a rainy boxing day

waaaaaaaaaaahhhh...it rained the WHOLE day today...and today is the day when everything didn go according to plans..hahahaha!

firstly, i was supposed to wake up at 10am and go for macdonald's big breakfast with a friend..i have a craving for it..and so i managed to persuade a friend to wake up early with me...after i gave her a call at 10am...we both decided that it's raining and we're both tired...and so we went back to sleep..hahahaa! and then in the end i woke up at 12pm...hahaha! tomorrow morning, i must wake up at 10am to eat my big breakfast!

then, i wanted to go to work and finished up some stuffs...but when i woke up at 12pm..i saw that it's still raining..i got lazy..hahaha..and so i told myself i will wait for the rain to stop..but it didnt stop at all..hahaha..and so i laze and laze and laze...and finally fell asleep in front of the tv at 3pm...hahahaha! another "plan" not carried out...anyway, i think i shall enjoy my leave and worry about work later..hahaha!

finally, i'm supposed to meet a group of friends for "christmas dinner"..and i was already on the bus when one of them called to tell me that the other 2 cannot make it as they have work to do and got to work late..hahaha..lucky, i just got up the bus..so i alighted at the next stop...anyhow, it's alright..we've arranged for it on thursday evening...

why must it rain the whole day??? the more it rains..the more i sleep..hahaha!

Merry Christmas!

is Christmas one of your favorite holiday? personally, i like christmas...it's like a season of love, peace and joy... my family and friends will get me presents, greeting cards or smses to remind me that they love me very much... haha!

anyway, this year...i did a very hectic christmas shopping..i thought the market will be getting quieter nearer to christmas...but i was totally wrong...somehow, i have a lot of work waiting for me to clear... *sighz* and although i'm on leave the whole of this week..but i think i'm going back tomorrow to work on something...haha! what a hardworking worker i am ya? hahaha! anyway, i did my christmas shoppping on 23 Dec 06...took a half day..went to town and bought presents for almost 20 people - my family, uncles, aunties and friends...almost dieded...it was sooooooooo tiring...

talking about presents..this year, i got quite a number of nice presents..one of them is this:

wahahahaha!! finally....a good digital camera has been on my wishlist for years....and finally my uncle fulfilled it...yay!! there are still many presents..which i think i should take a picture and upload here..but i'm lazy..hahaha! basically, i got a silver necklace, a red necklace, a yellow top, a green addidas bottom (an extra from my uncle!), a digital photo printer (which comes with the camera), a cute cd rack, perfume, cup, chocolates, green day cd, and money (i think about 300 bucks)!! hahaha...a lot right?

and then this christmas' eve...we had our family gathering at my uncle's new house..he actually decorated the house for christmas and i think he has a damn nice christmas tree...then we had catered food..and even invited my grandmother's friends to his house..hahaha! what a grand celebration ya? but guess what..after eating..i went straight up to his bedroom and fell asleep next to my cousin..haha! but of course i woke up later..and had my 2nd round of food...and then after that we exchanged presents...and then i got my dad to send me to zouk to meet up with my friends...and interestingly, zouk was not as crowded as i thought it might be..maybe because i was late...i reached there around 12 plus..the music was quite good but the crowd was not that good..dont know why..but doesnt look hip except for me and my friends...haha! anyway, reached home around 430am..fell asleep on the sofa till 8am...bathed and washed my hair..then woke up at 5pm! hahaha!

what a way to spend my christmas day...and oops, i forgot to go to church! haha! Merry Christmas everyone!

do i complain a lot?

a colleague once told me that i complain a lot..hahaha..actually, that makes me wonder..do i really complain a lot? but then, only 1 colleague has made that comment on me before...so maybe i dont really complain that much ya? haha! however, in just 1 week's time, i acutually escalated 4 persons...hahaha! but it's really not my fault...of the 4, i didnt mean to complain about 3 of them...but i do feel kinda bad but i really have no choice...*shrugs*

Complaint Case #1:
a client emailed me about some issues he has with the display of his data..and so i made a quick check on our system and noticed that there are some funny errors made by a london colleague which is whatever should be displayed is not displayed...and because these mistakes would require someone to have certain access, i have no choice but to emailed my boss for his help...BUT this boss of mine did not rectify the error but instead, he sent another email to the boss of the london colleague telling the manager all the mistakes that my london colleague has made...*sighz* now it seems like i have made a complaint about the horrible job that my london colleauge has made but seriously, i didnt mean it that way...and so when i asked my london colleague for an update when i got another bugging message from the client...my london colleague told me..." you should have just emailed me and not my team leader" aiyoh...i think i just made an enemy in London...*sighz*

Complaint Case #2:
i have a US counterpart whom i've been working quite closely with...she's fine but just that she needs tons of reminders to get a job done..and so one of my daily tasks is to send her reminder emails about certain things which is being done wrongly...finally, i got sooo irritated with her non-responsiveness..i sent a loooooong email to her..detailing her about every single errors that i've spotted and requested for an update from her...and i copied my boss but i did mention to my boss that i'm just copying him to tell him that this is a difficulty which i'm facing now and if my US counterpart still doesnt respond...then i would need his help to escalate...but guess what? after i sent him this email..he forwarded my email to her manager...*sighz* BUT it really worked..the next day, my US counterpart finally messaged me and even offered to go onto a call...however, this call never happen as she has forgotten about it AGAIN..*sighz*

Complaint Case #3:
i was having problem with another london colleague as her non-update has caused several problems for us in Asia..and so i sent her team leader an email...asking who should i ask for help as the london colleague mentioned that she had no idea what i was talking about...i informed my boss and he too sent an email to the manager...*sighz* this is like double escalation...and then later the afternoon...this london colleague messaged me and asked me what is the whole saga about...and i guess i just made another enemy in london..BUT i must say..all these escalations do work....now the things to be updated are being updated..hahaha!

Complaint Case #4:
this one is made against Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf...one fine afternoon, my colleagues and I made our way to the republic branch to get some coffee and we ordered 2 drinks...something decaffed...anyway, while waiting, my colleague reminded the staff gently that she wants her decaffed..and before she could finished her sentence..the staff snapped at her: " ya ya, we know..we're making it now!" seriously, we were so appalled by that behavior..we were not even demanding or making nasty remarks..we have spoken in polite manner but in return, we got snapped..this is astrocious...when we got back to the office, my colleague and I both wrote an email to give our negative feedback...saying that we were really upset and unhappy with the kind of service we have recieved from Coffee Bean..and all they could give us was an apology email indicating that they have spoken to the person in great length and such things will not happen again..blah blah blah..seriously, i do not think that they have done a proper job in handling this complaint as i wasnt satisfied at all with their reply...i was actually pondering if i should escalate this to the US office..but then again, it was not my coffee..hahahaha..i'm just a kay-poh friend... haha!

mmm...seriously, do i complain a lot? haha! but these are justified complaints! :)

i finished my first 10km run!

heh heh..i know most people are shocked that i actually signed up for the marathon..but seriously, the only reason why i did it is because it's free..hahaha! anyhow, i wanted ver much to train for it...but somehow, i didnt managed to...haha! but i think i did a pretty good job!

basically, i managed to wake up around 6 on a SUNDAY morning..made my brother fetch me there...reached at 7am...got lost while trying to find my friends and bag deposit center...was late for my woman's 10km run...started running and wheezing through the girls...pretty excited...

actually frankly speaking..it was quite fun...it was quite an experience running along shenton way...looking at the buildings and running on concrete road..my first time..and the roads are clear but the traffic lights are still working...and i have the tendency to stop when i see the red light...hahaha..quite silly ya? however, i dont like the part where we have to run to marina south..it's all trees and it's pretty hard to run because it seemed never-ending...so for the first 5km..i was telling myself... I MUST REACH THE U-TURN! haha! and when i see the u-turn..i was sooooooo happy....then for the next 5km..i kept telling myself.... I MUST SEE CBD AGAIN! haha! seriously, i think i can motivate myself pretty well...

actually, i intended to only run 5km and walk the other 5km..but somehow, i refused to give up...basically i think quite embarassing to walk to the finishing line when everyone can see..hahaha! and guess what? i finished my 10km in 1h:11m:15s..seriously, i'm quite proud of myself...if you ask me..in fact...i came in 315th in my category, about 26% of finishers ahead..not bad right? so in return for my effort, they gave me a medal..which is now sitting on my desk..as i still have no idea where to hang my medal of glory! haha!

went for an acapella concert on sunday at the NUS University Cultural Center..the group is called m-pact..can check out their site: http://www.myspace.com/mpact

basically, it's a group of 6 guys who can really really really sing..they sing WITHOUT any instruments (duhz, it's acapella! haha) and their human machine is amazing...the drums that he can made with his voice..and they could mimic the sound of cello, trumpet and saxophone...breath-taking..the songs they sing are rather jazzy, which i dont really like but surprisinly i was not bored by them..okay, maybe a song or two..haha!

actually the highlight of the show for me is not them...before this show, i dont even know who they are..i was sort of forced by my colleagues to join them in this concert...hahaha! in the audience, we saw adrian pang and his family...and my colleague took a picture with him after much thinking..wonder why is he so shy about it...i mean it's just adrian pang..not some big-shot like tom cruise....anyway, he finally managed to take a picture and adrian pang is sooooooooo friendly..he asked the name of my colleague and addressed him by that....so sweeet right?

and guess what, pierre png and andrea de cruz was sittin RIGHT behind us..and oh my goodness gracious me...pierre png is so hot and good-looking!! after the intermission, my colleague was like.." hey, i brought my camera, you pretend to take a picture of us but you focus on pierre ya?" and i agreed without hestitation..so there i was..pretending to take a picture of my colleagues while telling them to sit further apart so that pierre is smacked right in between them...hahaha! what a dumb ass i was...and just as i pressed the button..guess what? pierre acutually POSE for me! hahaha..i was so shocked that i moved the camera and didnt manage to capture that amazing shot...*argh* and he was soooo funny...my colleagues were still acting blur that we were not taking his picture and he was like..." oh no, did i ruin your picture? i didnt mean to but well, your heads were so far apart that i'm sure my head is right in the middle of your picture.." oh my god, it was so embarrassing...and i could feel myself blushing!!! and then i said..." do you mind if we take a picture with you then?" and he said.." of course...not a problem at all!" and he came over and took a picture with us...and he was like.." man, you're so red!" and all i could say was.." i cannot help it..you're making me blush" hahahahaha..i'm such a loser...all this time..andrea just sat there and smiled...and my friend's boyfriend apologized to her for our dumbness and guess what she says? she said.." it's alright, as long as they're happy.. " *puke* what a bitch! but well, she's right...we're happy to see such a hottie who is so nice...haha!

i have weird movie tastes

just this week, i caught 3 movies...

on tuesday..this is what i watched:



not sure why but many people think that it's really good..i dont think that it's that fantastic at all..i mean basically, i love daniel craig...i love the SNAG version of james bond...and the action scenes are really exciting and fast-paced..but if you put all the action scenes into a sequence..it sort of doesnt click and i dont like it..the storyline wasnt very strong..but many of my girl friends are sooooo in love with the show...seriously, i dont know why i dont like it that much..maybe they didnt show much gadgets and beautiful aston martin..maybe i find that the new bond is more like a secret killer than a secret agent...maybe he's always getting hurt and dirty and i dont like it? hahahaha..seriously i dont know why...but then again, i never really watched the previous bond movies...so i reckon i basically dont like bond movies? hahaha!

then on friday night..i watched this:



hahaha! obviously i watch it at home...got the dvd...my friends were raving about how good this movie was and how amazing meryl streep is...blah blah blah..and so i was all excited about this show..but after 2 hours..i was soooooooo disappointed..it's such a lame show..the storyline sucks, in fact there's no storyline..basically, the only interesting thing about the show is the clothes which anne hathaway wore...but then again, also not that exciting...but meryl streep is really good...i love the way she talks...so soft but yet full of authority...i seriously have no idea why my friends were in love with that show...

on saturday..i watched this with my colleagues:



frankly speaking...i didnt think the penguins were cute at all..in fact they all look alike to me...i've never thought penguins were cute in the first place..hahaha..they looked kinda clumsy and dumb...anyway, that's beside the point...many of my friends find the movie really funny and cute..but to me, it's only alright...nothing impressive at all..no doubt that the moral of the story is to tell one to live your dream and not be ashamed of who you are...but then again, this is for kids...how many 12-year-olds will watch between the scenes and get these morals, if there are in the first place? of course there's the thing about nature conservation but i dont think kids will get it...they might go to the zoo next time and started doing tap-dancing in front of the penguins to see if they respond..haha! if not for the singing and dancing, i think i would be bored to death..and oh my goodness gracious me...hugh jackman, nicole kidman, robin williams and brittany murphy can really sing....*amazed*

really, i dont know what kind of movie i would like..i guess i like movies with good storylines..movies that tells me the truth..movies that feature handsome guys (but of course) and movies with actions maybe...actually i love horror movies..but am not sure why i'm surrounded by timid people of both sexes...*sighz* quite a boliao entry ya? haha!

should i file a harrassment case?

today...a colleague of mine did the most annoying thing... there were 3 persons talking..let's call them Sales, GDA and F&O..i walked past them and they called me back and below is our conversation:

Sales: hey, did you lose weight? what happen? sad ah?
Me: huh? not sad lah...if you think i'm sad and lose weight...treat me abalone...
Sales: aiyah, abalones fattening...cannot....
GDA: then just bring her out for dinner...think she's free tonight...
Me: yaya...i'm free for dinner with you anytime..haha!
Sales: no lah, she's not experienced enough...
Me: experienced in what?
F&O: yayaya..you're very right...she's not experienced at all...i tell you..she's a virgin...
GDA: aiyoh, you not scare strike by lightning ah?
Me: already struck...
F&O: it's true...she told me she's a virgin...
GDA: aiyoh...you very bad....

oh my goodness...i was soooooooo pissed at that moment..what is wrong with this idiot F&O? okay, so what if i've told him that i am a virgin...not that i'm ashamed that i'm one..but it's not something that one goes around telling people....if i have told Sales that i'm one and he went..." ya, correct! " i wouldnt be sooooo fucking pissed...seriously, does this man ever think with his puny brain or does he only know how to use his puny penis? for the rest of the evening...the sight of him simply pissed me off..i very much wished to tell him to fuck off and stop annoying me...

seriously i was contemplating filing a harrasment case against him with HR..but another colleague ask me not to blow it up...then i contemplate about talking to his team leader...but am not sure if i should do it...but anyhow, i've decided..i'm going to give him chances..the next time he pisses me off with things like that..i'm going to speak to his team leader...and if the team leader and him cannot give me a satisfactory whatever, i'm going to file a harrasment case with HR...seriously, i dont give a fuck if i'm causing tension within my department as per my previous entry....it doesnt matter anyway...

i have my wedding plans without the husband..haha

attended a wedding on thursday (11/16/06) at hyatt...it was an ex-colleague's wedding...basically, not very close but she invited me because i have no idea why either...haha! actually, i thought the wedding was very boring...the food looks nice on paper but when the actual thing arrive..it's cold and not so tasty..the emcees are boliao..the usual "yam-sheng" and picture-taking...nothing much...didnt get any pictures from any friends..maybe might not get at all..slow lah, these people...but this wedding makes me think about my own wedding...

for the longest time, i've always dream of having a castle wedding..and i mean a REAL castle..not the one you find in disney world..i want to go europe to have my wedding in a castle...where my guests will live in the rooms and my enemies in the dungeons..haha! everyone will wear medieval gowns and ballroom dancing is a must...it's like as if i'm marrying the duke of some island or etc..haha! and most people, upon hearing this, told me that i'm dreaming...*sighz* but it's really want i want....but suddenly, i have an alternative...i'm going to have my wedding in ZOUK!! hahaha..will reserve the whole of zouk...hire famous DJs...buffet and free flow of alcohol! and instead of the wedding march, i will walk in with my dad to the tune of "Superstar" by Jamelia...hahaha! then my friends told me..my first step, get someone who likes zouk...i try but no guarantee...but there's ONE BIG FLAW in my planning...i DONT have a husband! hahaha! anyway, i wil continue to brainstorm...

ON A DIFFERENT NOTE...

recently, have been feeling very demotivated at work...not that i was extremely motivated..but after my beloved boss left, i have been swarmed with work and somehow, i feel a little bit lost and uncared for...although everyday i have 2 managers asking me if i'm fine but seriously, i dont feel the sincerity and genuinity...*sighz* was soooo looking forward to the return of my colleague in india but i was "hit" by another news...HE'S GOING TO CHINA FOR 2 WEEKS IN DECEMBER!! seriously, i was very pissed when i know about this...why would anyone send an indonesian to china and not a chinese? why is he given the chance to gain exposure and learn new things while i have to stay behind in singapore to cover all the shit? do i seriously look like a shit-lover? so fucked up!!

well, this colleague told me that he has proposed to our manager that i should be given a chance and asked me to speak to our manger to ask him to give me the chance to go instead..and so i did..i sent manager an email, telling him i would love to go and gain exposure and that my race as chinese will definitely help in a all-chinese environment...and he came back with the reply, thanking me for the offer (??!!!) and that there will be opportunity next year for me to go to china and learn and he will keep in mind...blah blah blah...one do not need the intelligence of a rocket scientist to know that it's a " NO " ya? but my colleague kept pestering me to talk to my manager again...but seriously, i dont see the point...i've tried and i've gotten rejected...what more can i say? then my colleague said that i should fight for my own good..blah blah blah...and that he cannot speak to my manager again as he doesnt want to give the manager the impression that he doesnt want to go...so does that mean that i have to give the manager the impression that i must go china no matter what he says?

seriously, i do not give a fuck anymore...frankly speaking, if i'm always not being given the opportunity would i care that much? so what if i clean up all the shit? ultimately, it's the company and others who benefit and not me...well, i will continue to clean up..i'm just doing what i can..hopefully to learn as much as i could...let my resume look nice and i'm going to find a new job this time next year... now i'm beginning to hate going to work and facing all the colleagues..no matter how nice they are...i'm simply not interested at al and somehow am a little pissed with some of them...no amount of perks can perk me up anymore...i dont think i'm even going to join in whatever parties my company is going to hold...from now on, i'm going to be the anti-social babe...take it or leave it...

why cant my hair be black?

havent written anything for quite some time..guess am so drained every single day that my brains are dead by 530pm every day...haha! now i understand why the matrix colleagues always sleep so early...they really need to sleep... anyhow, i've nothing much to write anyway...

anyway, for the past 2 weekends, i managed to catch 2 movies... Prestige and Step-up..and i didnt regret paying 9 bucks for the tickets..these 2 movies are simply awesome... Prestige showcased 2 of the sexiest man on earth...Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale..*drools* and the storyline is rather interesting...quite thought-provoking as well...at least to me that is...it made me think if certain sacrifices are really worthwhile...and also the twist at the end of the story and the development of the ending is awesome...definitely not an anti-climax...however, i really dont know why..but i seriously thought that Christian Bale looks sooooo much like Frank Lampard...see:



hahaha..no idea why but i seemed to be very sensitive to Frank Lampard's face..hahaha!

for Step Up, seriously, if there isnt any dance scenes..the movie is kinda lame..the storyline is sooo typical that anyone can be the storywriter...but the dance moves are sooooooooooo awesome...and Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan can really dance!!! but was a little disappointed that the friend of the lead actor did not get into NBA...thought that would be a happier ending with everyong going after what they really want and dream about...however, i must say....Channing Tatum looks sooooooooo much like Wentworth Miller...seriously, take a look at this:



hahahaha! seriously, i have no idea why..maybe the bald head with piercing eyes are what attracts me most...but personally, i think wentworth is cuter and smarter..yes, channing can dance better and has a nicer bod but hey, wentworth graduated from Princeton University with a degree in the English Language..smart guys turn me on....hahahahaha!

on second thoughts, maybe i just like guys with weird names...like Eminem, Wentworth Miller, Channing Tatum ( which i always have the tendency to spell Churning Tatrum..haha!), Frank Lampard, Patrick Dempsey and many more which i think if i were to list them, this entry will go on and on and on forever...hahaha!

and surprisingly, it's rather interesting...the december issue talks about traders, stock brokers, bankers who are gay and lesbian...and oh my god, the guys are sooooooo hot...what a pity..but am i think it's rather sad that they have to hide in the closet for fear of rejection but luckily, more banks are accepting them for who they are...another article talks about testing in USA...apparently, there are many test agencies in the states that mark all sorts of test and every year, huge amount of errors occur that may cause an executive to lose his/her job, a student to lose his/her opportunity to a good colleage and even cause a small kid to become afraid of tests and exams...another article talks about slavery in some countries and these people are not paid and they provide the raw materials for major car companies...cannot remember the details as i have ant's memory..hee hee...actually, frankly speaking, i'm started reading it because of the gay article with pictures of cute guys..hahaha! however, i find that the articles are a wee bit too long and can get quite boring..maybe i should feedback to bloomberg..hahaha!

and today i made an unbelieveable discovery..actually not me, it's my colleague who alerted me..hahaha..we have a tv in office that will showcase pictures taken at different events in different offices...there's this event called "The Black Tie" event in our New York office...and lo and behold, guess who did i see??? TOM CRUISE AND KATIE HOLMES! seriously i am not kidding...i've asked a few other colleagues to look at the pictures and all of them are equally surprised...seriously, i have no idea why do our New York collegues get to take pictures with them...actually there are a whole lot of other hollywood stars but i can only recognize tom cruise..hahaha! this is sooooo unfair...i heard that in New York, with our office badges, we can get into museums free and enjoy lots of discounts at different stores..over in Singapore, we dont even have free gym....*mutter mutter* tomorrow, am going to have a feedback session cum lunch with the HR manager...maybe it's time i feedback to them about gettings celebrities and perks for us in Singapore...hahaha! but NO zoe tay or fann wong..i was thinking of edison chan, rain, tony leung and likes...*grins*

think it's really time for me to find something worthworth to rant about...if not i am so going to become a dumb blond, except that i'm not blond...haha! okay, quite lame...anyhow, just dyed my hair black...but somehow, it's not that black...i wonder why is it i cannot have jet-black hair?

seriously, i have no idea what i want to do with my life...seriously! nothing much has been happening..and so not much entries on this page..even when i wanted to write some things...i have to wonder and think and ponder on what to write...basically, the only thing that flows through my mind is nothing...haha! kinda sad ya?

well, because my boss has left and the other colleague is in india and i'm seated at the end of the row...i'm sort of isolated...and every now and then..i will get this comment from other colleagues: " hey, you're very quiet nowadays ah? are you alright? " honestly, was i that noisy? haha! *shrugs* but seriously, who can i talk to when i'm seated in that corner...basically, it's difficult to talk to the person in front of me as there are 4, not 1 19 inch monitors in front of us of us...as for behind, basically those colleauges are in "matrix" haha! they are so serious and focused that once they started typing away on their computer..they seemed oblivious to the outside world..so seriously, how can i make noise all by myself? and besides, i'm really feeling kinda lonely...

actually, i really hope that they can make a pathway for me through the server room that is between my department and the toilet...haha! every morning, before 12pm, i would have finished 4 X 500 ml = 2000ml = 2 litres of water...and although i'm not petite and all, my bladder seemed to be really small..every other 30 minutes..i have to go to the toilet..and it's really quite a chore for me...haha! but then again, i guess it's good exercise..make me walk and socialize with the people i meet along the way? haha!

was having a nice chat after lunch...and were talking about babies ( no freaking idea why) and where we were born..and today i realized that KK = Kandang Kerbau = Buffalo enclosure..haha! so i am a buffalo baby! and i dont know how..the conversation went on to me finding a husband so that i could get a child..and everyone said that i have such high requirements that i will never find anyone..and finally, they realized that my so-called requirements are just crap as seriously, i have no idea what i really want..hahaha! furthermore, my dataing scene is dead and seriously i really doubt that i would ever get attached..let alone married...anyway, after this conversation..this colleague walked over to my place and asked.." hannah, do you like me? " cracked me up big time! :)

03 November 2006 is the saddest day of my life ever since i joined my new company last december...for the past 11 months in my new company..i have been enjoying myself...nice colleagues, nice perks, nice benefits and nice working environment...did you notice that i didnt say "nice work"? haha! actually seriously i dont think my work is nice..but then again, there's no such things as nice work...it's one's passion about one's work that make it nice..anyway, this is not my main point...haha!

as i was saying...i have been enjoying myself..the parties, the free booze, the free food and all...but suddenly on friday, my beloved boss told me THE NEWS...she told me she's leaving..she's quitting...she's not coming to the same office as me anymore..i cannot say " good morning boss " or " go home boss " anymore..i was so sad that i actually teared..haha! and everyone was so concerned that i'm so sad that she left..haha! guess they were shocked to see me getting emotional..as normally i'm always smiling..but hey, fundanmentally, i'm very emotional...i can even cry when i watch the graduation of the 4 friends of The O.C.! haha!

basically, for the past 11 months..i have a very nice team..my team is really small in singapore office there's on 3 of us..and we are of different personalities and can say we are really closely-knitted...furthermore, my boss has been the best...she's always so kind, so nice, so wonderful, so helpful, so good, so amazing, so awesome and the list goes on and on and on...EVERYONE is always full of priase for her...but she just had to leave...guess she has her own thinking and all...will "interrogate" her when she's done with her wedding..haha!

basically, i'm happy that she has finally found her happiness...just the day before she told me she's leaving..she told me she's getting married..haha! and the date is next saturday..she's going to be married to a taiwanese and and she's going to have her taiwan marriage this saturday..and then her ROM is in December and her singapore wedding will be in january...so i presumed she will be very very very busy and preoccupied till the beginning of next year! :) talking about weddings..i have tons to attend next year....guess it's a good year to get married... haha!

actually, come to think of it...i'm the CURSE of good bosses..haha! in my previous company...i was with a very nice boss for almost a year...and then just as i had settled down and become comfortable...she decided to leave and pursue another career...and now, history repeats itself...i wonder...am i the cause of all these leaving? hahaha! i doubt so..because my bosses love me...hahaha!
