please belt up for your safety...

friday was a very very "exciting" day for me...

look at these:

nope, they are not abstract arts..they are pictures of the right side of MY CAR...yes, my car..my one and only mitsubishi lancer...can you see the hole? did you notice that the side mirror is gone? *sob* before anyone is convinced that lady driver = lousy driver... let me break the news..this is NOT done by me...but MY BROTHER...*laughs* well, apparently, he was reversing and then he didnt notice that there's a pillar on his right..and then he reversed and *bang* the side mirror dropped, body scratched and dented and a hole appeared...seriously, i have no idea, how did that hole appear..and if he has been driving at a slow speed...how can the side mirror just dropped off...also, this doesnt look like a car that was reversing slowly... although i do not doubt my brother..but i seriously think the pillar has hands...it ripped off my side mirror and punched my car for "waking" it up...*sighz* so sad...this is the first thing i saw in the morning...and i was so sad...my car is only 6 months old and it has to undergo major surgery..and my dad drove it to the mitsubishi workshop and they quoted 1,800 for the repairs...*gasps* so my dad will drive to the normal workshop and hope to get a deal that's less than 1000...well, at least my brother was feeling remorseful and willing to fork out money to pay...and for that responsibility, i forgive him..*smilez*

look at these now:

this is an accident along CTE...and gues what, i'm in the taxi! *laughs* i took a cab home on friday after some drinks at kazbar and i was so lazy and it started to rain..and so i decided to take a cab...on the cab, i was chatting with the taxi driver...and he was just commenting that most taxi drivers will not want to drive on rainy days as the roads are slippery and if they got into an accident, their 1000 bucks deposit will be forfeited...and while we were driving along CTE..suddenly, he had to e-brake and then i could hear screeching sound..and thank God that the car didnt skid...and then *wham* the taxi banged right into the black mitsubishi...it was a huge bang..because if i didnt belt myself up, i would have be thrown forward and hurt myself..but the safety belt was there to restrain that force...

basically, the accident happened when the black mitsubishi suddenly swerved into the taxi's lane, hoping to avoid another accident between another taxi, a hyundai and a mazda...this is my speculation..because after the collision, there are 6 cars in total...2 taxi, 1 mitsubishi, 1 hyundai (the sandwiched car), 1 mazda and another silver unknown car....suddenly, you see 6 men getting down the cars and exchanging numbers and driver's license and taking pictures...i thought it's pretty exciting...okay, i sounded sick..but well, i do feel sorry for my taxi driver..his taxi is the last car and he banged the back and so his 1000 is forfeited and also, he got to pay for the damages...so in the middle of CTE i stood..not knowing how to cross the road to the road shoulders..i called my dad to tell him that i'm in CTE and asked him to come and fetched me...

well, i must say..i'm quite sad that NO ONE actually stopped to offer me a ride...NOT A SINGLE SOUL...although there were empty taxis..but none stopped...and many cars slowed down to look at the accident.....but NONE stopped to ask if i want a ride..at laest out of CTE..and so i had to stand in the middle..till the tow trucks came...stopped the traffic..then i followed the cab to the road shoulders and waited for my dad...the tow truck uncle was nice..he ensured that i'm safely in my dad's car before moving off with the taxis...it was really an experience...actually i thought i felt slightly painful under my breasts...*laughs* but luckily there' no bruises..but frankly speaking, my head did hurt a little..from the impact of the collision...but i'm okay already... *smilez* the taxi driver was quite alright..kept asking me if i'm alright...and i felt kinda bad..because it seemed like i have the bad luck for cars on that day...*laughs*

so people out there...listen to the traffic police...do not drink and drive...do not speed...and belt up for your safety!! it REALLY works...

very bad "car" week you have there. hope everything's fine now. from your experience i see it can be a big problem if we are stranded on an expressway. next time i'll ask taxi drivers not to use expressways when i'm alone. hahaha...
